Just bought this mouse for use with my macbook pro, its replacing my magic mouse. The magic mouse is cool and all but i really started missing the scroll wheel. So far this mouse has been amazing, and intellipoint 7.1 fixes all the typical tracking problems the mac has, like the accelerated tracking.
Hey pal, i need an opinion about this mouse. I'm about to buy it but i just went to CNET reviews and there's a bunch of ppl saying that the scroll wheel is noisy and stucky. But you said that is has a smoooth scrolling. So, what would you say? Would you recommend buying this mouse? Thanks.
I got this mouse a year ago and really like it. My office laptop doesn't have built-in Bluetooth, so I added a micro Bluetooth transmitter, which sticks out only about 1/2". Connections are flawless. I had to train my brain to turn the mouse off when not in use to save battery life (they run out every 3 months or so that way).
Today I just got a MS Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 for speeches. It has built-in controls for PowerPoint & audio media on the "bottom", & a laser pointer. Woot!
That's not good! Has it ever connected? Or did you purchase it and have never been able to connect it to this laptop?
Unfortunately, there is really only limited space here for answers, but I would suggest you check out the microsoft site under hardware for troubleshooting steps.... Open the "my bluetooth places" on your laptop then Press the bluetooth button on the bottom of the mouse, then click on "add a bluetooth device".
Go to microsoft; and search for wireless intellipoint bluetooth and click on download software.... click on software for miscrosoft keyboard and mouse... Then look for wireless intellimouse explorer for bluetooth...
I got it used for 15 bucks :D

That's a good deal. How do you like using the mouse? I find it pretty convenient... especially with a laptop that has bluetooth built in, NO DONGLES!

Good Question.
As far as I know, there is no official driver for this mouse. Thereby, the default button layout applies.
However, Microsoft has the Intellipoint app that can customize the layout for some of their mouses...

Can you disable the back button on this mouse. I keep hitting it on accident. Thanks
