  • Luana Anders looks great underwater.

  • nice irish accent at 11.28

  • A recent online review states :" Despite some inventive photography and decent gore for its day, its uneven pace renders it a curio for Coppola fans." uh, so now-a-days a movie is considered 'worthy' if it has DECENT GORE? WTF is that supposed to mean? So you must have the right type of blood splattering your masturbation fantasy to 'get you off' ? if that's the case, then those reviewers are sick in the freaking head.

  • What does the doctor say at 1:06:37? After the girl says "oh don't be silly doctor". It's not really relevant to the plot, but I always wanted to know cause I don't understand half of that sentence he says.

  • @gocsa " i offer silly as one of my major advices" i think and after that fuck knows

  • @gocsa I think it's something like: "There's merely one thing in the world that chills my bones to the matter(?), and that's when a pretty girl in a weddingdress looks at me and finds me repulsive". Something like that, I suppose.

  • 22 people in the wedding party?

  • Either I am deaf in my left ear... or Im Van Gough, because I hear nothing on the left!

  • @justynfeeney because it was filmed in mono (meaning one) instead of stereo

  • re the below, often times incurred by the opartner who can more easily get laid!!

  • I believe dementia is mainly psychological (For all the moronz: not physiological)

  • @quicktor and @movieman95 The song is "He's caught" by Buddy & the Fads. Fantastic Rockabilly tune from 1959. Apparently came out on the Accent label out of California. I couldn't find any more info either.

  • what elvis song is that? i looked it up for hours couldn't find it

  • @quicktor It's not really an Elvis song. It's just a sound alike. The song may have been made for the movie by a sound-alike singer. It's possible that Lon Chaney Jr. sang it for the movie as he sang the opening titles to "Spider Baby" but thats about all I can find out about it.

  • She really loved her husband...'s money.

  • Frankly, this movie's a lot better than some of Coppola's more famous (and expensive) movies. Frankly, I think that being declared some sort of genius after the GODFATHER movies damaged him as a director.

  • @The1962driftingaway I think the failure of One From the Heart damaged him as a director haha. Basically all his 80s and 90s movies were made primarily to pay off that movie's losses

  • An excellent terror classic! It has been copicatted so many times, but it has never been done before.

  • I always thought that Luana Anders never recieved the career she deserved

  • @tapeduk...I agree ! Luana passed away in '96, but Jack Nicholson remembered her in his Academy Award acceptance speech for "Best Actor" in "As Good as It Gets" ('97) in '98. Luana and Jack worked together as "gofers" at MGM in the early/mid 50's. This is where they first met Roger Corman. When Corman became a a director/producer he remembered the both of them and cast them in various roles at AIP studios.

  • thanks

  • such a loving wife

  • this movie scared me at age 19

  • trilane the squire of Gothos lol

  • ola soy felichalee qui sira saver si ay peliculas  en espanol;

  • classic creepy horror i love it

  • Looking for grindhouse / exploitation films.

    Please Help!

  • Great early Coppola. In the opening sequence I caught myself wanting to hold my breath as the deceased guy sank to the lake bottom. Also, effective use of lighting. I couldn't help but smile when the guy was having a heart attack and the woman comes to his aid all the while continuing to hold her cigarette. Trivial point, I know, but it only adds to the charm of the film. If I'm correct, William Castle's "Straight Jacket" came out a year or two earlier featuring an axe wielding Joan Crawford.

  • fuck the government

  • Cool movie!

  • ashhhh

  • Even online, the damned commercials blare out twice as loud as the program...

  • @cbdesade I decide to boycott the products sold due to that rudeness.

  • The Elvis song in the beginning...perfect choice!

  • They would have never been able to purchase the Elvis rights, I bet it's Gene Vincent, he sounds similiar. Gene is the guy who sang Be Bop a lula she's my baby. Listen to that and you'll think it's Elvis too.

  • i hate ADS by GOOGLE.

err.. mr. Youtube, could you please remove Ads by Google.

this is not diplomatic way for an audience like me. since i could not buy the video tape. pls re-consider my suggestion

  • Francis Ford Coppola's first movie.

And it was produced by the king of low-budget and no-budget movies, Roger Corman.

Coppola's off-and-on-again genius at play for the first time here. Good first effort.

  • this is a great movie!!!!!

  • This movie RULES!!!!!

    Thanx drelbcom!!!!
