I've followed his work since the early days. I played myself as a teenager thru my early 20's using many of his techniques. A very under rated member of the band, and probably one of the most diverse musically. Dave and Jonathan Cain from Journey are 2 to really look at, but see past the minor stuff they do in their commercial music.
I MET DAVID BRYAN LAST NIGHT AT THE NEW YORK ATHLETICS CLUB!!! HE PLAYED LIVIN' ON A PRAYER WITH MY JAZZ BAND HE HOPPED ON THE KEYBOARD AND STARTED ROCKING OUT!!!!!!! SUCH A FORMAL PLACE TURNED INTO A ROCK CONCERT ALL OF A SUDDEN!!! I EVEN GOT A PICTURE WITH HIM!!!!!! I GOT HIS AUTOGRAPH TOO!!!!!!! I EVEN GOT TO TALK TO HIM AND HE WAS TELLING ME HE PLAYED TRUMPET WHEN HE WAS IN SCHOOL AND HE WANTED TO LEARN SAX AND SOMEHOW HE GOT INTO BON JOVI lol.
I saw Bon Jovi last night and watched David all night, never knew anything about him and so thankful to have been able to watch him. He is the best keyboard artist I have ever seen in my life.
Could anyone tell me why Jon and Richie are always in the spotlight? Dave is a great singer and composer! He's not made for being always in the background ... Come on Dave, come up to the frontline...that's your place!
David Bryan is the monster keyboardist. I don't care much for Jon Bon Jovi or Sambora, when I have Bon Jovi in my mind, David Bryan comes first to my mind. I even say his name when I mean Bryan Adams, I always say David Brian first. But that's me. I like keyboard players.
this speech gave me sum much needed inspiration i practice like crazy and think what you say is true there is no magic wand just hard work and focus cheers dave keep up the good work with bon jovi and the boys
David is great. He does so well as a piano player. Jon should let him sing some songs at their concerts. Especially Memphis Lives in Me. That song is one of my faves.
He is talented, but i think he doesn't get much attention in the bon jovi concerts, Richie sambora and Jon Bon jovi are getting the most. That's why i am glad to see him in solo performance!!
I have been a Bon Jovi fan for as long as I can remember and its not untill I watched this that I realised that David Bryan is not just a keyboard player in a band, but his is a worl class pianist and composer. Not often I thank people for post videos that I view on her but tody I will make an exception: Matteomoni, I thank you for this video and opening my eyes
I've been raised up as a teacher, to provide the means for receiving a meaningful arts education. I hope you have prepared yourself for the coming of this next age. Shame on you, if you haven't. Cheers!!!
Nice to see him solo, showing us just how much talent david has just lovely. Keep dreaming children, dreams do come true. David keep sharing your gifts. God Bless
hes the best keyboardsit in the world right now... i mean there have been greats like geddy lee ... liberace, elton john, john lord...but davids classical chops make him unhuman
Wow how can you make that list and leave out Jonathan Cain? Also if you can find it, back around the time New Jersey was released David did a tutorial video, showing a lot of his classical background and how he adapted that to Jovi's most popular songs.
your right i did leave out cain...my bad...but cain is very good too and has that classical ability but david is way past this... i have this video from a while back and he is eating mcdonalds... and showing people how to play pink flamingos and a few songs from sww its an instuctional video
Oh do't get me wrong, back in the late 80's early 90's i played in a band myself, my main influence was David. His style along with classical training used in his additions to the BJ songs were a major role in my own style. Too bad I gave it up mid 90's, I'm glad he's still going strong.
okay.. hurley is a brand that i like.. skate is a sport.. and ava is a band.... sorry dude but i swear to god... over anything that his daughter is my best friend.. add me on youtube and u can ask me any question
Thank you so much for putting this up....it's the first time I've ever actually seen David sing solo (not just the little bits of 'In These Arms' during tours...though that's still pretty hot!)....truly beautiful, he's such an inspiration. When was this?
