  • i used to live in gibsons and i miss that place

  • Who's the guy with the cap and big sideburns?

  • @branie99

    Lloyd Berry.

The ep name was "Boomsticks" from 1972.

  • HaHaHa!,That was Huey?!, I forgot all about that guy!,.& The Other Girl Margerate, Sarah was The Little First nations Girl, Lol,Classic stuff!, The episode that sticks out the most from probally '74-'78 was The Huge Battle Royal That was held on the Wharf with Other 'Combers & Local Fishermen, They were all Getting The Piss pounded outa them By one another, I still laugh at that episode, and relics Father with The Tug-o-war Anchor's,

  • Remember watching the Beachcombers on CBC Vancouver back in the 80's wish they would have brought to Dvd love to see it from the Beginning

  • You can thank the unions of CBC who are demanding big cash to allow the DVD box set out

  • I'm beginning to think Beach fans should just give up. CBC is well aware of all the gems in the vault and are just plain greedy! Just think if MASH or Star Trek were kept locked away from fans. They would break down the doors of the vaults. lol!

  • @newguyhere Okay, I am up for breaking down the doors if you are! Agreed, it is a shambles.

  • @newguyhere The CBC has done a very poor job in preserving and presenting its classic shows in general. One can fairly readily come across old British children's movies and serials by the CFF (e.g., Glitterball, The Boy Who Turned Yellow, Chico The Rainmaker) on VHS and DVD and on YouTube, but shows like Seeing Things, Wojeck, Airwaves and The Beachcombers collect dust and disintegrate. Off the top of my head, only installments of the Degrassi franchise have saw the light of day on home video.

  • @newguyhere It's really stupid too, because people will just stop caring as they get older and in 10 years nobody will want them anymore. It's like burning money.

  • @calbff I agree. It's a terrible shame. Pre 1975 eps of Beach have not been broadcast nationally on Canadian airwaves since CBC aired it weekday afternoons in the early 80's. I'd say its long over due for another run or a dvd release. People want it but they don't listen. Instead they give us Jeopardy.

  • Oh that wacky Relic!

  • Do any of the pre-1985 episodes exist anywhere?

  • That was freakin' AWESOME!
