i want to see eagles like this, ones that are not afraid of people, too bad i live in texas where people shoot anything that isn't human (or anyone that they think is not human, depending on where you go)
Hey! Thanks for sharing a glimpse of these beautiful animals! I'm from Vancouver too, and I'm pretty sure I saw these exact birds last year out by UBC! Did they have any chicks this year? Last year they did! I'm sitting on my deck in North Van (by the wheat pool) listening to three fledglings in the tree in my yard! No chicks for these guys (in North Van) last year. This year is unbelievable, I'm in complete awe! They're learning to fly around and feed right by my house everyday!!! AMAZING!
@kayswayley yeah the new fledges are the best part. I'm not sure about the nests on the Spanish Bank because they are up on the cliff and its hard to see if there are any babies until they start flying around, but they have had success in the past because I could hear the little guys calling for food. Two chicks fledged out of the Jericho nest this year already.
I am an American. I don't feel that I own everything or need to argue what country has the best national mascot. I do want to tell you that I greatly appreciate your sharing a glimpse at these beautiful birds in the wild. It amazes me that someone would watch your video just to make rude comments. Thank you for sharing. I have never seen a Bald Eagle outside of captivity (we have 2 in our zoo which are unable to be in the wild). It is wonderfult to see them on your video.
@K9loca oh well, its the internet! people think what they say doesn't mean anything.
Rescue birds can be useful as education, and I feel that the centre is doing a service since those raptors would not survive in the wild. But there is nothing to compare to seeing them in their natural environment, as you say!
LOL the symbol of our country show's you what he thinks of your camera skills, he probly thinking "You get a good look at that? yea thats right, that's i think of you filming me, now go away im trying to get busy with the lady on the otherside of the lake"
These are employed by the CIA to spy on your shores.

Symbol of YOUR country maybe, but this is in Canada.
Not lake, ocean. As in Pacific.
