As an asthmatic, coming from Northwestern Indiana, which from 2005 on has been recorded as #85 on the list of areas with the highest air pollution rates! Check the mortality rate of people from those areas, it sucks. I'd LOVE some wind turbines so maybe I can breathe cleaner air.
That is a real problem and they should figure out a way to make it safe for migrating birds

Its the TYPE of turbine thats the problem- exposed blades thros ice, create shadow flicker, make noise, throw blades, etc -
the Cylindrical "maglev" turbine is the way to go to eliminate all the problems of exposed blades-
google it.- its a win for us, and a win for birds.
