@TEPerformance3 no thats not true man. The purpose of a blow off valve is so that all the unused boost pressure doesn't return back into the turbo when you let go of the throttle. Not because it sounds cool. Boost going back into the turbo sounds cool but is not good for the turbo.. thats when it makes that stutterring whisling sound.

@TEPerformance3 Blow off valves aren't for performance increases. They just stop boost pressure from forcing itself back into the turbo which could eventually damage the turbo. Thats all it is.whether it sounds cool or not is up to ppl in general. i kinda noticed though, that when this E30 lets off the throttle at high RPM, the BOV works pretty fine, but when he lets off at low RPMs, the boost forces back in... I guess thats just how this BOV works in particular.. that must just be his tune.

@TEPerformance3 you are stupid. with any engine as soon as you let off of the throttle it closes the valve up and all that boost you are pushing (say 20PSI) has nowhere to go, because it cant go into the engine anymore so what does it do? it goes backwards, into the turbo the wrong way, causing it to surge. the blow off valve is put in between the turbo and intake so when you let off the throttle, and there is massive boost trying to go back into the turbo it has a place to escape (bov)

@popatittyshit Hey dumbass, when you let off the throttle RPMs dont automatically drop to zero, even when idling your at about 900-1000 RPMS which is enough to reudce pressure. Your a fucking idiot. Don't tell me what can and can't happen, i build custom turbo setups that easily kick out above 900 hp for a living..

You have probably answered this a thousand times mate, but what Turbo are you running? I'm building up a m20b27+turbo and want around 350rwhp, but am unsure what turbo to go for!

My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325i weekends. 325i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the 325i is about 9.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $19 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:

E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

I would any car with 15" wheels and if whip the wheel hard enough. You can easily get it to go side to side. Also check your engine burning a little oil. Got a little power there keep tuning.

simulate a stolen vehicle an run it over a cliff and get the full coverage from the insurance company. Remove the motor and expensive parts. sell the parts and get a proper car!!!!! You can drop in a old block in the engine bay to pose as the (actual and original engine) if you need more advice let me know i also can help with marital problems and sex related issues : )

mmh. Camshafts 900€/ ~1200$, Springs 500€/ ~680$. Machining cylinder-head 200€/ ~270$. The adjustment was done.. it was a part of the modification ;) And this means by a good mechanic cylinder fill @ 8k rpm, ~300+ hp... with 1 bar/ 14,5psi around 600hp... I think, quite more capability as the "small" Honda-Engines ;)
