This piece symbolizes the awesomeness of the eighties, and what makes it awesome that even though vh made it in that time period they could anticipate that after decades people would strive to go back to that time.
is this 'the key-tar solo from 1984" that is supposed to be the only thing better than star wars? is there a good key tar solo from this album, if this is it I expected it to be better than this.
Still upset guy's that synthesizers are in rock? Hey the group Boston released an all acoustic album, go listen to it. And hey if you travel deep enough up into the hills you can still find some hillbilies that dont yet use synthesizers either.
@robfergusonjr How would you know. I mean vocals are vocals, no electronic device can replace the voice of a talented artist. You need to find better arguments my friend.
@robfergusonjr What I meant was that the people were saying that vocal rock music along with guitars and drums would go away and be replaced strictly by synthesizers, creating songs like 1984.
The rest of the 80`s still gave us plenty of good RnR without all this synthesizer crap.
this song was actually 45 minutes long.....but they used the right part ....i was gonna use this as my walk in song for my wedding ....i changed my mind at the last second.....i should of used it damn it
@foxwilliammulderx I'll do without the super bright outfit. The hair style was one of many things that made the 80'S great. You must mean the shitty hair style that most have now a day. When the hell did the 50's creep back into style with the damn sideburns? IAs for acid, been there, done that and would rather leave that in it's owm freaky world.
@foxwilliammulderx It was making a comeback here as well for awhile. Had a few 80'S radio stations. Then they changed, 1 is country and the outher is some new dance thing. But the groups from the 80's are coming out with new stuff left and right. New Journey, The Cars, there first new Cd since 1987. And Van Halen should have a new cd out later this year with David Lee Roth.
I realize I'm probably stating the obvious here, but this song certainly evokes the feeliing of Orwell's novel. N'est ce pas? (Ain't it the truth?) :>D

Back in 1984, a lot of the people I knew were saying that the future of rock music was going to be by synthesizers. I guess time proved them wrong.

@hardon70 No, wot they were saying that music will be digital/electrical, they were right.

@hardon70 You missed my point entirely ... the issue is not vocals, the issue is equipment replacing the gutiars and drums with computers.
