  • Interesting way of making the msakhan. First time I see it cooked like this! But it looks delicious nevertheless. Big fan of your channel! :)

  • @looku1 , Thanks for being a fan of my channel!!! i am interested in knowing YOUR recipe for cooking the Musakhkhan :) thanks for watching and your comment.

  • @cookingtheeasyway so sorry for the late reply! I usually fry the onions and boneless chicken first then I add spices and sumac. I then use khobez mar2oo2 and make them into big chunky sandwiches and then bake them in the oven after brushing them with olive oil ofcourse!

  • @looku1 , Thank you!

  • Wow, this looked so delicious! I'm an Italian-Irish American but love Arabic food. This is like an Italian lasagna only instead of pasta noodles you use the flat bread. I like Zaatar so I would probably like the Sumac with onions. How do you serve it? Is it cut into squares or spooned out? Do you use a knife and fork or your hands? Thanks..Great Video!

  • @abfabinri, thank you. true, if you like Zaatar you will like Sumac :) the way to serve this dish is in a big platter with the bread layered with the onions and sumac, top it up with the chicken and then you spoon it out for individuals, each gets multi layers of bread and onions and a piece or two of chicken. Some people use a knife and a fork others eat it by hand especially if the chicken was whole pieces with bones. thanks for your nice comment, i really appreciate it.

  • This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I have never heard of Musakhan before, but now I will not rest until I have tried this amazing looking dish. I get so hungry watching this!! Wonderful!

  • @twylo , Thank you for coming by and leaving a nice comment :) i really appreciate it. you may check out the whole recipe in details on my cooking blog mimicooks . i hope you can try it and i would love to hear back from you. best of luck!

  • I have traveled the world enjoying some of the best foods from many countries. This is the best chicken dish there is .

I do take a few shortcuts and it comes out the same If you have a Food 4 Less grocery store they sell frozen chopped onions. These are lifesavers and only $1 a bag.

Boxed chicken broth. the real stuff not cubes or msg with artificial flavors.

The best quality sumac is from Mountain Rose herbs an online Organic herb shop. They are also affordable especially in bulk.

  • @bonzaibb12 , Thanks for your comment here and all the info included too. i appreciate it.

  • @armsofanagle

I usually use salt and cardamom to cook the chicken with. i think the broth is yellow in color because i used olive oil to cook it with.

May I ask what were you boiling the chicken in at the start? It looked yellow? Was it just water and oil?
