That has happened to me before, and in other bosses in video games too. It definetly sucks, but usually you can beat him in the next try or few if that happens. It actually happened to me with the death in Dawn Of Dorrow too! He sometimes casts a skull attack right before he dies that does a lot of damage if you don't dodge it.

By the way, do you know what is with having to fight death on a clock tower in multiple castlevania games? Not in Dawn Of Sorrow, but still. Like, is it time to die?

Death was not fought in a Clock Tower in a lot of games too...

Though yeah, I think Konami is trying to make some sort of symbolism of the 'FIGHTING DEATH ON A CLOCK TOWER'. Means of being Ironic or pulling of the relation of TIME(resembled by the clock) and FATE(the player) countered by DEATH(dying)-- Saying that there is a Time to Die(Maybe Sometime, Maybe Not).

Instead of using Buer, use Giant Ghost. It reflects the mini scythes (and with the big one being such a big target, it gets hit very often, often for more damage than your normal weapon).

The second part is the part you should worry about.
