  • The irony is that if those morons were arrested and their "free-speech" case came before the Supreme Court, Scalia would vote in their favor.

  • The irony is that if those morons were arrested and their "free-speech" case came before he Supreme Court, Scalia would vote in their favor. And how is "hypocritical" to invite a justice to speak at school?

  • the guy at 3:03 better hope columbia law could work miracles! because he does not look like he has a good future convincing juries

  • Gotta love free speech on campus. Our way or the highway, such hypocracy.

  • Most of those protesters were not actually from NYU Law school.

  • i really feel embarrassed by the stupidity of these kids. my 5 year old cousin should apply to nyu law school.

  • I wonder where they got these freaks of the week from? Scalia is protecting your liberties and freedoms fools.

  • Jesus, I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm a graduate of this law school. What a bunch of leftist wankers; they should be dipped in a vat of boiling acid.

  • i don't know why evan even put this clip on his dvd. it is antithetical. here we have an institution inviting a constructionist judge, and a student population expressing their rights to show the judge that they (apparently) hate him.

  • At first I was angry by this bleeding pussy liberal bullshit, but now...now I just can't help but keep from laughing. Basically it's a bunch of spoiled upperclass kids who've never worked a day in their lives bitching about things that in the real world hold little to no value at all. Note to all the whiners out there, all us big kids hear when you whine and cry is WAHHH WAHHH we want stuff, we want people to do what we want them to do wahh wahh, we're 23 years old and we know better than you.

  • I think Scalia handled it the same way.

  • They're not trying to change minds, they're just trying to release their anger for themselves and the other members of their group. If they were trying to change minds then this was an abysmal attempt at doing so, and was beyond unsuccessful.

  • damn liberals. do u always have to protest and act like damned anarchists. IT's called lobbying, writingering letters, there are so many ways you can do stuff but not this. WTF liberals

  • Is the first speaker on drugs? He trails off his talk like he is on drugs or that is all the information he has in that things he calls a brain.

  • Yes, how dare you come to New York Antonin! How dare you come back to the city in which you were raised!! :X

  • Liberals bring a whole new meaning to the phrase "mindless mob".

  • I really doubt most of those protesters (especially that seemingly stoned student who spoke before the camera) go to a law school as prestigious as NYU.

  • That's quite an intelligent argument NYU students have mounted: 'Scalia Sucks!' How eloquent! It's heartening to hear how some of our most highly educated young people are so sophisticated in their thinking.

    God help us.

  • homosexuality is a mental disorder.

  • How about we rally to get our constitution back of limited govt that keeps the fuck out of our lives and wallets, instead of this progressive era atrocities of corporatism and wars for markets and profits please?

Capitalism NEVER failed, but it's been squashed since TR, Wilson, Hoover & FDR eviscerated it and it's NEVER been returned, hence wealth and power disparity to the elites who's plan it was all along - a nation of indoctrinated obedient slaves of the corporatocracy.

  • I would respectfully remind the protesters that Scalia isn't quite the demon you think he is. Yes,his decisions are usually anti-civil liberties. But, please remember, Mr. Justice Scalia's jurisprudence does occassionally lead him to pro-civil liberties results, just not in the realm of abortion/gay rights and the Fourteenth Amendment.

    That is all.

  • Wow dude, your diction is like, way over all our heads! I'm sure you were the LR editor and moot court champion.

Or wait, maybe you should read Scalia and Bryan Garner's new book, where they plead with lawyers to stop trying to dress up their arguments with fancy words and to use simple language instead.

  • Ah yes, NYU...the same school that hold drag queen parades and pageants. No surprise here.
