thatz bloody nonsense...this is a very religious festival..as devotees go through months of preparations, fasting, abstrain from any physical contacts from the opposite sex,and also a vegetarian diet. through all this the devotee will then attain a state of trance because of his/her pureness. this festival is not done during the azan time, it starts from as early as 12AM and continues throughout the day. dont accuse of such things. i am a hindu and i know what goes on. It is a beautiful festival

yes, i do understand that some of the devotees take things a bit to far, and there are some things which i do not believe in either. but besides those extreme things, thaipusam is a beautiful festival. i have been involved with thaipusam my entire life and i know how majority of the devotees carry our this festival. it is a clean and very holy festival and they do it beautifuly, lets leave those extremists out this and look at the beautiful side of thaipusam.
