I love Giuliani's Sonatine. I, too, have a Cordoba, a C-7, with a cedar top. 'Also a venerable Goya G13 with spruce above and mahogany below. 'Got to say from the hip that no apologies need be made about the Cordoba. It has sound to spare with a 'feel' that's just very, very nice. The workmanship belies its modest price. The tuners are interesting, ornate gold filigree on black with integral folded over worm posts with bushings. The sound is above all what I love. Toss the Mike. Rob
Hello, you are doing a great job, but it seems you are having problems with the arpegios starting from 1:49,. It sounds a bit noisy and the high notes are lost.
I like the work you're doing with the accentuation. It gives emotions to the piece.
I kinda like the mic'd guitar sound, and kinda due to the fact it's the end result that matters... Like I prefer listening to the sound as it is delivered and if one were to electronically tap into ones vocal cords by shoving an input down their throat to electronically reproduce the sound I think something beautiful gets lost in the mix... The wood reverberating with the sound womdering the hollows of the guitar is about as pristine a sound as you can get... But hey that's just me... Thx Bob!
@moonmaidenmama I have a music stand just out of sight of the camera. This particular piece I do have memorized but when the camera starts rolling I blank out so it really helps to have the music as a reference. I hate the sound of the built in bridge mic for that guitar so yea I always mic it. It is just a cheap $500 Cordoba. Maybe someday I will have a real guitar. Just keep playin'.....Bob Huppert
You should have started slower so you could have had more control at the end.
