Indeed, it's not as good as I remember. Still, in the context of the movie it actually seemed to have an effect on me BECAUSE Dan was acting so awkward. It was like he was acting in an embarrassing way that he wouldn't want people to see.

Compare this to "LOOK AT ME!" in OotP. Yes, he should be proud of that performance. Thing is, in real life you don't really want people to film you when you're angry/sad because of how cool you sound when you're in that mood, know what I mean?
