This game in particular is still sold by Songbird Productions. Google 'Total Carnage Jaguar" and you shouldn't have any trouble finding this. It's still available.
It's an incomplete product because it was a dropped project. It was never intended to be released, so Songbird Productions legally obtained the code and made a releasable version of the game to be enjoyed by Jaguar fans.
Also, this game does take advantage of the Pro controller, and is only playable without hand cramps with it.
IS this some kind of homebrew title for the Jaguar? Do you play this through an emulator, or on the avtual console... I could swear the amiga version looket a LOT better...?
When you fight against the bosses you have music, so one could clearly see that it´s not a technical problem, I think this is just because it´s hard to compose something new ;)
Is there no way to toggle between firing modes as you can in similar games, allowing you to sometimes firing in the same direction (regardless of which way you're moving) and sometimes firing in the direction that you're moving? If not, then I agree. I mean, even certain Sega Genesis games allowed you to do that, even with just the three-button controller, so it seems like a rather substantial oversight here.
Yeah, I really don't know. I didn't see any way to change it up.
I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that it wasn't finished in the first place. Carl had to finish it up before release, but I really don't know which parts he had to work on.
Is there no music in this port?

It's basically a beta, but has been toyed and tinkered with so you could play through it.
I would guess some things would have been improved if the game had officially been released by the original developers.

-Is it really too hard to put some music during gameplay for 64 -bit games console?

To be fair, this game isn't a completely finished work.
It was modified to run and be somewhat complete, but it wasn't "finished" by the original coding team.

why not? why sell a incomplete product?

That actually looks a bit better than the Super Nintendo version.

no music? oh well, something new for the Jag is always welcome

Well, it was an incomplete game before Carl got to it. Maybe he's not much of a music person.
In any case, yeah, it's cool that it was able to be "finished" and released.

You can use the num-pad to fire in any direction

I realized that, too.
It's sort of a pain to do, though.
My plan is to create a custom dual-joystick controller that will make it much easier to play.

you said that there was a website that sold cds with all the roms for the jag
mjwmjw123456789 3 years ago
LOL, where did I say that?
Anyway, go buy the games if you want to play them. That's how I do it and it's not illegal that way.

Stop being cheap and buy the real thing.
