lol dont worry its not a dumb question. This both fixes the issue of connecting to games, and also increases the connection speed. The speed at which it increases depends on your router and internet service provider, and speed. I have a 20mb connection which is 17mb more than an average person and i have roadrunner, and a netgear router. I dont have any lag at all so try to guess what your results will be in comparison to mine. either way you should still see an increase in speed.

Um, I found alot of my information by running my Comand prompt by going to "Start" "Run" Type "CMD" or "Command" then in that window, type "ipconfig /all" And the DNS's are "DNS server" That's your primary DNS, then put a 2 in your second digit.

My dad wouldn't give me the password for the router :p

well actually you dont have to put a 2 in anything. just copy the both of the dns's down. if you only have one use that one as the primary and secondary. Um about the password to your router. well uh he might have never changed it so check your router manual and the pass should be in there. I know the default pass's for Linksys, belkin, and netgear routers so let me know if you need more help. =)

How do I know my username and password for my router. Is it the WEP code or something?

If I didn't write the username and password down is there anyway to find it out?

check your routers manual it should be in there. WEP is something else

You made a very nice video explaning what to do and I even saw you on Gamespot posting. :) My question is that when you added "10" in the event that the last number in your Wii's IP is a single digit do you have to set the DMZ and open UDP port settings under the "10" rule?

thank you. regarding the extra 10. that only is used in the wii and not anywhere else. Also just open dmz port dotn bother with UDP or TCP ports as they cause bandwidth issues with your comp when ever your wii is on. If your DMZ has a UDP or TCP option try putting it on both or UDP only.

a move like a across slam but when i use it its delayed by about 2 seconds so its hard to predict when to use the slam

o i c. well like ive told others this fix is only for correcting the issue preventing others from finding other players. It will improve speed a little but their will always be a little lag mainly because Nintendos servers arent very good. Most of the time this delay will be present. It usually ranges from .5-3 secs depending on how bad the other players connection are. Ive only experienced 4 matches where their was no lag.

to shorten the delay use a gamecube controller because wired controllers send data faster. it cuts the delay down by .7 secs. i dont use a GC controller though

yup. lol. Hombrew channel. Wont be able to play dvds with out it on my wii even though i can on my 360. Or hombrew games, or cheat programs similar to action relplay.
