  • Are you not undertaking ?

  • Ok so the landrover is abit close to you, so why keep chasing him and put yourself in further danger. And whilst I'm at it I know pedestrians don't have right of way on the road but maybe you should look out for them just like us car drivers have to.

  • @bluemonk35 actually, as far as I am aware, pedestrians do have right of way on the road. As soon as a pedestrian walks on to the road you should give way to them as they're obviously going to come off much worse in an accident with a vehicle. It makes sense.

  • What a dipshit LR driver.

  • What an idiot, he should not be overtaking at all with a trailer on, in a residential area in busy traffic, i can tell you i often tow trailers in to Leeds and i have to be so careful as the thing struggles round tight corners ( I have accidentally mounted the curb before) and you can not over take (safely) because of how long the vehicle is. Shame really as that was a real nice Landy.

  • its annoying to pass the same person repeatedly. By filtering through, you are passing the same vehicles that just passed you, and when the light turns green, you, the slower traffic will again be in front of them. This breeds hostility. If there's no bike lane present and the lane is a substandard lane size that doesn't allow for vehicles to safely pass while remaining in the lane, I would queue up behind the traffic at the red light and make these vehicles only pass you a single time.

  • @rjservoss Agreed, it is annoying... so if the cars would just wait behind me rather than overtaking to get to the queue/traffic lights ahead it'd be so much easier and I wouldn't have to keep overtaking them...

  • hehe :p

  • I had sympathy for you at first...but you put yourself back into an avoidably dangerous situation for a second time!

  • At the end you were filtering too quickly and should have anticipated that someone could be coming out to cross from beyond that parked van - which would restrict their vision of oncoming traffic. You were too busy shaking your head at the 4x4 driver instead of paying attention: your reaction time to the woman shows this.

You see, nobody is perfect on the road yet you are so bloody pompous in receiving her apology for something which was primarily your fault.

  • @grahamscott89 The van would, indeed, restrict their vision... but as she didn't actually look then it makes no difference. My reaction time was spot on and almost instant braking saw that neither her or me were in any danger... she simply got a bit of a shock as she assumed all the traffic was stationary when she crossed without checking.

  • Way too close, there was a big enough gap five seconds later anyway. Illegal stop & regs awful driver but i'm not sure about your undertaking when that lane split left you have to watch out some of those drivers may have wanted to take the left lane and not looked in their left mirror

  • Pointless putting reg no's up, you do realise that some vehicles have multiple drivers & some change hands, why potentially vilify a good, motorist by including irrelevant numbers? As to your problems with other road users, unfortunately it is a fact of life, as a white van man, a cyclist & a motor cyclist, I see it all too often. I think you are keeping fit whilst riding & heading for a heart attack with your anger, chill out, swearing & gesticulating at them WILL NOT improve their driving!

  • @C4MP3RV4N I provoke these idiots to overtake when it's not safe?... how so?... mind control?... oh, hang on, they clearly have no brain for this to work.

  • @C4MP3RV4N Wow, you're actually serious too.... must make a mental note that drivers don't have to move over when overtaking, especially when doing so past someone who's not in a tonne of metal. Got it. Thanks for your insight... here's to hoping you don't have a driving license!!

  • Grab hold of the trailer

  • why do you post videos bitching about stuff people do? let it go and accept that some people arent perfect

  • @cantthinkofausename Okay then. No probs that the imbecile could have killed me with his crap driving... just let it go as "he's not perfect". F*ckwit would have been my description, not just "not perfect".

  • @sh4rkybloke you've made 44 videos on cars that have missed you, if they're really that dangerous then stay off the streets. And he hardly took off your hand, if he hit it at that speed i'd be surprised if you got a bruise. And when you did move your hand i have to admit it looks like your signalling for him to go ahead.

  • After watching your videos I have to say you are the single most dangerous cyclist I have ever seen, bar none! I cycle on a regular basis but I also drive almost daily. From my perspective people like you give cyclists a bad name, you think you are a hero by filming your rides, riding like an idiot, putting peoples registrations on display and being abusive. Please learn to be civil and realise you are just another road user, and not the main road user or just catch the bus.

  • @glennytheboy See it's very simple... I'm abusive to idiots who endanger my life due to the fact that they can't drive. I'm perfectly civil to other road users who drive safely. I don't jump red lights, I don't cycle on the pavement... my cycling is fine, thanks.

  • i'm waiting for a video of you knocking on the doors of those parked on the cycle lane, when can we expect that?

  • You need to just calm down. You're giving cyclists a bad name with your self-righteous, ooo I'll put you on YouTube attitude. So what? Has anyone been arrested or even slightly concerned they are now anti-heroes in your dull videos? Just keep you gob shut and ride.

  • Your a sad twat mon. Fookin landy shoulda shunted you off the road. Ya dont pay tax or insurance so you dont belong there. 23 mph?? Fucking hell id overtake you in a heartbeat. Angry little wanker

  • @Wakozzi Blah, blah, blahdy blah... come back when you develop a brain, there's a good little boy.

  • He couldn't move over any further because of the oncoming cars. You had a designated cycle lane which was partially blocked in places. However, this was your problem, not his. You should have anticipated this situation along with any implications. Instead of acting like you're king of the road, it would have been advisable to stop until it was safe to maneuver around the blocked cycle lane.

  • @richoverip Priceless stuff. Firstly there's no cycle lane, and if it is blocked (by cars) how is it any more my fault than the tosser driving the Landy, you muppet? If it's not safe to overtake (i.e. cars coming the other way) then you wait. Simple. This is of course assuming you are not being sarcastic with your post... but I get the feeling you actually believe the drivel you've typed... sadly.

  • i would have just used my nudge bar and air horns if you would of got in the way like that !!

your a twat, and should be banned from the road. you should also have your bike took to the scrap yard and have it crushed

  • @discoverystu Ha haaa haa ha ha ha. You're funny. Thick as pig sh*t, but funny.

  • @discoverystu Are you admiting that you would deliberatly try to knock off a cyclist ?

May i remind you that nearly 60% of cyclists are now carrying these camera's to back up with evidence of bad car drivers and with the cost of these camera's going down the usage of these devises are on the up.

Yours a nice Policeman who checks out these video's

  • Dear me. In your demented obsession to rage at drivers that do very little wrong you nearly hit a young girl 'cos you aren't concentrating on what's going on around you. You're insane lad. Your behaviour is extremely worrying.

  • @MitkoChan Lol. Yeah, demented obsession with idiots who nearly knock me off my bike... funny how things like that can make you mad. As for the "young girl", she stepped out without checking from behind a parked car so I couldn't see her... but I braked hard and stopped without issue. Insane!!

  • @sh4rkybloke You had to brake hard because you were too busy looking at the driver wanting to have a little stamp and shout, and weren't concentrating. You can justify your reasons all day long, but it's meaningless, you submitted to rage. That you admit being angry and don't understand the problem is indicative itself. You regularly wind yourself up on the roads, taking a camera to document it. I can't wait to see the rest of your videos you madman. Police would have a field day with you.

  • @MitkoChan Okay then. Whatever you say. Clearly you were there and have all the answers. If that's someone being in a rage then you've obviously led a very sheltered life!!

  • @sh4rkybloke You documented it for me, lad. I'm glad you've conceded. Spend more time concentrating on your own riding in future. Going off your roundabout video (where you were also in the wrong) all you do is rage and swear, presuming that's why this vid is muted. Loon.

As you've blocked my main acc for proving you're a danger on the roads, I wont respond again. I suggest you do the same - replying then blocking people is more cowardly than filming them without a chance to counter. Wretch.

  • @MistahSting I'll keep it simple for you. I haven't conceded, it's called sarcasm, look it up. I'm not "in the wrong" here - an idiot driver almost knocks me off due to be unable to drive correctly, and I post the video for all to see so hopefully they can avoid him. The vid is "muted" because the mic cable was knackered. I haven't blocked your main account for "proving" I'm a danger on the road, I blocked your main account as you have nothing useful to say. Common sense, not cawardice.

  • @sh4rkybloke

Couldn't agree more what a scantimonius idiot If he hadn't been undertaking the line of traffic (an Illegal act) he wouldn't have almost killed a pedestrian. I just hope a car driver takes him out before he kills a child.

  • @redhand010 Just a couple of points... 1. It's called "filtering" and is perfectly legal. 2. I was nowhere near to killing a pedestrian. 3. You're clearly a bit of a tw@t. Have a nice life though. :-)

  • Well you best not ride then, as clearly its too dangerous for your liking. Just because you are worried that the worst could happen doesn't mean you can block other road users when you don't have to. Have you even passed your driving test or do you just simply ride and judge others driving all the time?

  • @motorhead778 It's only dangerous when f*ckwits like the driver in the video are allowed loose to drive around with no brain and no idea how to drive. Other than that cycling is quite safe. I'm also unclear on exactly how I was blocking the driver, the one behind him managed to pass me safely enough when there was no traffic coming the other way... it really is very simple.

  • So does this mean in a narrow street cars should drive on the other side of the road just in case someone opens a car door and hits their car causing oncoming motorists to stop when they shouldn't need to? with anything there are risks so stating an obvious fact that a door could open is not relevant. You would hope the person who is about to open the door would look when opening it onto a road? And possibly you should slow down then? Or does everyone have to accommodate you and your opinion?

  • @motorhead778 Errrm, let's see.. if I'm in a car and someone opens a door when I drive past then I probably dent my car and/or take their door off. They are liable for the damage as they didn't check, and our insurance companies take care of it.

If I am cycling past a line of cars and someone opens the door I can either swerve to avoid it (assuming I have time) and risk getting hit by following traffic, or I can plough into it and risk being killed that way...

    Tricky.

  • You really don't need to be that far out to pass parked cars. If you had taken a more reasonable line he would have been able to pass with ease and without endangering you. I have watched a fair few of your videos, and yes some of them are very shocking but there are others which are over the top and not needed to be posted. Just chill out a bit, i ride everyday and don't seem to have half as many problems as you are having. (This is not an argument just a comment!)

  • @motorhead778 Have you seen how far a car door opens into the road? At the speed I'm going I'd have no chance of stopping in time and would have to choose between taking avoiding action and swerving around it (into the path of isiot drivers like the one overtaking me too close) or ploughing into the door and hoping I survive being impaled on the corner of it or worse.

Good American vid demonstrating it on YouTube - search for "Avoiding the Door Zone"

  • Thank you for confirming my opinion. I rest my case!

  • On a more serious note, when you have the accident & start proceedings against the driver you may well find the videos you post being used against you by the other side.

They are likely to take the line that far from being a careful and considerate road user you are aggressive, seek confrontation with other road users - by trying to remonstrate with them, failing to take avoiding action or expecting the to get out of your way - and by your filming are not paying full attention to your riding.

  • @ekimnikdog

That you post a number of videos will just help them.

And if you think that unlikely don't forget that people have been successfully prosecuted and/or lost their jobs via disciplinary action after posting videos on here!

  • @ekimnikdog WTF are you talking about? I ride reasonably fast and I don't suffer fools gladly - especially those who endanger my life with their crap driving. This is not aggressive and/or seeking confrontation.

Failing to take avoiding action??? Where?

As for filming my rides and thus not paying full attention to my riding... lol, how does having a camera attached to my helmet suddenly contribute to me not paying attention to the road?

  • Having now taken the opportunity to look at some of the antics in your other videos & speaking as a motorcyclist I'm amazed you're still alive.

To have alleged close calls & then willingly & deliberately give the driver another chance to finish the job is just barking.

Whilst your efforts are impressive, you DO realise that the Darwin Awards are posthumous?

  • i think the past two posters are a pair of fuds, i would have been pursuing this guy with the law (i dont think much of your copper m8 kiwi if he couldnt see the danger here from the landie driver) Edog you need to stay off the drugs, the issue is not overtaking ya fanny it's the fact the lr driver almost's knock's him of his bike, which is why he had no issue with the driver of the people carrier. i will agree though the cyclist needs to take more care advancing on the inside,

  • Comment removed

  • You object to being overtaken at 23 in a 30.

You deliberately seek confrontation with the driver.

You have no objection to the silver people carrier that also dares to overtake.

You fly up the inside of stationary traffic & nearly clear up a pedestrian who has the audacity to walk out in front of you. And then expect HER to apologise to YOU.

You are an arrogant fuckwit who should not be allowed anywhere near any wheeled transport.

  • @ekimnikdog I was going to have a word about his driving (i.e. try to reason with him about why it was stupid to overtake at that moment).. if this is seeking confrontation then I suppose I'm guilty as charged. No, I have no problem with the Silver People Carrier as they give me space and overtake when no traffic is coming the other way... pretty simple really.

  • @ekimnikdog ... As for the ped ... I was going a bit too fast, granted, but expect people to look before stepping into the road. I didn't "expect" her to do anything else. I braked sharpish and stopped, she heard my exclamation of surprise, jumped and knew she'd been a bit silly for just stepping out. She apologised, I told her it was no bother and we went our separate ways.

  • You need a can of spray paint, one that washes of with soap/hot water, do not want to be done for criminal damage, spray his car as proof of how damn close he was. He'll never go to the Police and he might think twice about doing it again. Or carry some stink bombs and drop one through an open window.

  • Probably wouldn't have overtaken him at those lights after you had just had him to a bad pass. Terrible driving both times though!

Also, what speed were you filtering? It's hard to tell, but maybe got a little slower it isn't uncommon for people to pop out in traffic like that. Easier to be ready to just let them across than have to stop suddenly :)

  • @thomase1 The "overtake" at the lights was purely due to them changing when I was so close, it was either that or slam the anchors on and probably stop just ahead of him or possibly in his blind spot to the nearside. I was preparing to have a word with him (was starting to slow with a view to stopping ahead of the ASL where he could see/hear me) but the lights were rather faster than I had anticipated.

Adrenaline rush after the close overtake got the better of me! ;-)

  • What a cunt

  • Bugger me that was a close one!!!

  • Be fair - your comment at the end.. he had a passenger in the van..... Counting the passengers contribution to brain cell count.. I make that... TWO WHOLE BRAIN CELLS!!!!

  • The silver panels are there because cyclists are always having to hit the car... ;)

  • To be fair I'd be angry at the whole world too if I had a chick that looked like that :-)

    Still, what a cock!
