My belief is simple: For the first fifty seconds, you were calling all the other family members in your house over to the television set in the living room, to watch the show. Then for the remaining minute and fourty seconds, you were bombarded with images and sounds to wake you up, get your attention, and get you excited for the upcoming enjoyment to be had in Pee Wee's Playhouse.

I was born in 1996, and I grew up on this show. Like, I would come home from preschool every day and ask when Pee-Wee was on. Of course, they were on VHS tapes, but I didn't understand that.

I didn't understand much of it. But I loved it. All of it was just so...magical. It's not like the kids' shows today where you watch one episode, and rewatching it is just boring.

Not Pee-Wee. In Pee-Wee, every episode, even if you're already seen it...is an adventure.
