WS6's rated H.P. was 325 @ 5200 rpm and peak torque of 350 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm with a weight of 3495. New 5.0 is 412 h.p. @ 6200 rpm and peak torque of 377 lb-ft @ 4250 with a weight of 3620.

27 lb-ft more torque from the 5.0 with a heavier weight isn't much difference.

H.P.. is just a calculation of Torque x rpm (highest rpm x lb-ft numbers) / 5252. Torque is what matters.

When MT tested it they got a 12.8 at 110mph with the 3.73 gears and LSD. I dont know but what does a stock WS6 do?

@Viking445 Stock WS6 does 13.4. I have a '02 6 speed WS6(See vids) so of course I lean toward the WS6. over all new cars. Camaro, etc.. Do believe I will break into 12's with Drag radials. I have headers and exhaust as a mod for now and run low 13's with street tires @ 109 with 86k on stock motor & stock 3.42's. Can't hook up & have to launch from idle and shift out of 1st @ 3K.Ford's doing awsome with the 5.0 but theres a reason why G.M. killed the ws6. Cost more to build it than the vette
