i may not be a huge skiing fan, but i have to admit, when the olympics is on, this is one sporting evennt i love to see. Not to just watch crashes, but for the shear adrenaline
stop the video at 0:02 and you'll understand the balls you got to have to take this bump full speed, with a view on the whole valley, and no sight of what's behind
Yeah this is probably the hardest and most ballziest sport you can ever do, going off a 65ft jump is one thing but freaking going downhill at 100mph is fucking ballzy and takes more skill than any other sport.
Yeah but after ski, when I tried snowboarding after that I couldn't walk for three monts. Terrible injury in the back of the thigh. Now I'm afraid to try again but I want to learn so bad!

@bsd300d shut the fuck up, try going down icey slopes at 100 km/h, try taking a beating to your legs for minutes, i bet your such a fat loser who puts snide comments on youtube videos that you struggle to go for a mile jog
@bsd300d dude, skiiers are not gayasses. it takes a lot of bravery to go down a slope like that, even slowly, just think of what it takes to be a racer. im not a ski racer myself, but i ski almost everyday, im a bobsled driver, and we wear almost the exact same suits. its called a speed suit. these sports actually take skill, and the athletes dont get paid. all of the sports like basketball, they dont take as much skill as these do combined. so how bout you shutup and go back to ur sports.
@bobsledder4 I know exactly what it "takes" to do shit like that. I have been to Whistler multiple times and broken my femur in Banff. I skied a bit when i was younger; but i still stick to my point that snowboarding in way more difficult.
@bsd300d you obviously don't, Rec. skiing is completley different than Ski racing. just going to whistler and breaking some bones doesnt mean yu know what it takes to race. and i know how to snowboard as well, and i know myself that it can be hard, but skiing is way harder, you go faster, and have to be in more control. and i dont want to get into anything here.
@bsd300d lol at that point, at these speeds, believ me skiing is harder... I do both since I was like 3 or 4 every year, and I can assure you, you dont know what it's all about... take the most downhill part of you're ski station, and try to take it shuss from top to bottom, then you'll see... (sry for my english)
A fast skiers worst nightmare, sliding head first on your back off the edge of the run into the trees. Once i did exactly that...broke my sacrum, two ribs, a thumb, and got 7 stitches under my chin. I just wish the resort had nice webbed fencing like this one did....skiing 60+ days a year for 35 years and still goin strong!...livin the dream baby!

i just want to say that after watching the games in Vancouver downhill skiers man and woman are true athletes! those men and women really put their life on the line for their sport, i totally respect their efforts, take care...
Wow, it's easy to watch this sport and forget about about the dangers because these guys are so good at what they do. I got a lot more respect for these guys after seeing this video.

That poor ski fence! Oh no! I hate to see horrible things happen to innocent ski fences. It was just minding its own business when this guy comes along and plows into it. Poor thing.
