  • which downhill track is this? lake louis?

  • tooo much forward wind...

  • Fuckin' bad!!!

  • el crash

  • Sooo lucky! Both his skis went off at the perfect time and he fell on his side, could have been so much worse!

  • Oy yoi yoi up bupbupbupbupbup oyyoiyoiyoi

  • poor guy :(

  • haha, nice little tumble ^_^

  • i may not be a huge skiing fan, but i have to admit, when the olympics is on, this is one sporting evennt i love to see. Not to just watch crashes, but for the shear adrenaline

  • stop the video at 0:02 and you'll understand the balls you got to have to take this bump full speed, with a view on the whole valley, and no sight of what's behind

  • Oi, oi oi oi oi oi! Haha the guy talking in the background :-D

  • in black ops he where in last stand

  • having skied competitively for a few years mostly slalom& GS .

between ice and ruts that are knee high it is anything but easy.

Downhill I tried a couple of times what I can tell you is your legs are burning before you get to the bottom

  • faggot swedish talking

  • Yeah this is probably the hardest and most ballziest sport you can ever do, going off a 65ft jump is one thing but freaking going downhill at 100mph is fucking ballzy and takes more skill than any other sport.

  • oioioi oppopop oiioioi :DDD

  • 0:41 ?!?! is that funny?????

  • And Antoine Denériaz came back to become a Downhill Olympic Champion... what a man !

  • oioioi obobobobo oioioi :)

  • Took his helmet right off...Ai ai.Did he recover 100%??

  • @lofi73 Yep and even won a downhill olympics title ^^

  • @ursuss100 Oh yeah...Totally forgot about that!!

  • There was a hill there bud..

  • thumbs up for huge air tho

  • 96 km/hr

  • @finznl 96? not 120?

  • @finznl thats a respectable speed, ive hit 110, pretty sketchy, makes these athletes so much more impressive.

  • Swedish television! We rock!

  • did he win?

  • el crash

  • shoulda tried snowboarding =)

  • @foof505

Yeah but after ski, when I tried snowboarding after that I couldn't walk for three monts. Terrible injury in the back of the thigh. Now I'm afraid to try again but I want to learn so bad!

  • Haaaa....that's what he gets for being a gay ass. Nice spandex.

  • @bsd300d do you ski? whats the fastest speed youve ever pulled on skis if you do?

  • @snowyphil65 No, I'm not a fucking faggot. I snowboard which is much more difficult.

  • @bsd300d hahahaha, dude, i snowboard too, and you dont know what the fuck your talking about

  • @bsd300d shut the fuck up, try going down icey slopes at 100 km/h, try taking a beating to your legs for minutes, i bet your such a fat loser who puts snide comments on youtube videos that you struggle to go for a mile jog

  • @bsd300d dude, skiiers are not gayasses. it takes a lot of bravery to go down a slope like that, even slowly, just think of what it takes to be a racer. im not a ski racer myself, but i ski almost everyday, im a bobsled driver, and we wear almost the exact same suits. its called a speed suit. these sports actually take skill, and the athletes dont get paid. all of the sports like basketball, they dont take as much skill as these do combined. so how bout you shutup and go back to ur sports.

  • @bobsledder4 I know exactly what it "takes" to do shit like that. I have been to Whistler multiple times and broken my femur in Banff. I skied a bit when i was younger; but i still stick to my point that snowboarding in way more difficult.

  • @bsd300d you obviously don't, Rec. skiing is completley different than Ski racing. just going to whistler and breaking some bones doesnt mean yu know what it takes to race. and i know how to snowboard as well, and i know myself that it can be hard, but skiing is way harder, you go faster, and have to be in more control. and i dont want to get into anything here.

  • @bsd300d lol at that point, at these speeds, believ me skiing is harder... I do both since I was like 3 or 4 every year, and I can assure you, you dont know what it's all about... take the most downhill part of you're ski station, and try to take it shuss from top to bottom, then you'll see... (sry for my english)

  • Poor guy.

  • why did he lose his helmet??

  • @lol6996 dude ur fucked downhill tracks r mostly all ice u fuck tard

  • A fast skiers worst nightmare, sliding head first on your back off the edge of the run into the trees. Once i did exactly that...broke my sacrum, two ribs, a thumb, and got 7 stitches under my chin. I just wish the resort had nice webbed fencing like this one did....skiing 60+ days a year for 35 years and still goin strong!...livin the dream baby!

  • is dead?

  • Awful that even his helmet came off too...why am I watching this...*sigh*

  • i would rather land like that and have both my skis come off then landing on my face and having a ski drag and tearing an ACL. better to break an arm then stretch an ACL

  • wow ur so stupid u cant dig ur heels in at 80 mph

  • I would have dug my heels into the ground to slow down

    terrible accident

  • i just want to say that after watching the games in Vancouver downhill skiers man and woman are true athletes! those men and women really put their life on the line for their sport, i totally respect their efforts, take care...

  • pretty much what I did when I broke my arm, just at a way slower speed and it wasn't a race...

  • ooh you out son

  • hahahaa, the look on Aksel L. Svindals face !

  • hey thats swedish...

  • You're right. Ain't I the asshole, doing what I hate other people doing, posting without knowing for sure.

    Thank you.

  • Holy shit. This is horrific. How badly was he hurt?

  • c'mon it's not about findind the most dangerous sport in the word

  • well at least he ran into that safe metal fence....

  • You mean the mesh one? You idiot.

  • it was a joke haha

  • fucking lucky dude!!! He lost both skies in the same time! Fuckingly lucky this guy!

  • if he broke his neck and leg HOW THE FUCK WAS HE OK .... STUPID FUCK...

  • its sarcasm... STUPID FUCK

  • @petipoblo dude, you're not ok if you break your neck... he might be alive, but he will never be able to do anything again, and is FAR from ok

  • Wow, it's easy to watch this sport and forget about about the dangers because these guys are so good at what they do. I got a lot more respect for these guys after seeing this video.

  • the last 10 seconds or so is the worst part. for anyone who says alpine skiing isnt hard, go fuck yourself, thsi is what every downhiller has to overcome, so if u say its pussies in spandex well u try it, youll need new underwear i guarantee it

  • amen

  • @yarhor i have been snowboarding for about 15 years and this is the most dangerous Olympic sport IMO. I give so much respect to the skiers of Super G and Downhill

  • I think you will find Luge is the most dangerous Olympic sport.

  • yeah. sad times. i pray for his family. skeleton is pretty dangerous too. i think that is what the name of the head first version.

  • @heathey2 lol dont kid yourself

  • @yarhor you need new underwear..... bitch no one talks to me about what underwear i wear

  • @yarhor I agree i fav Ski sport i will never try it as to old but respect those who try Go Bodie

  • @yarhor alpine skiing isnt hard.

    :3

  • @yarhor .. calmly

  • your snide comment is fucking ABSURD jet boy...keep the yap shut, you don't know what the hell you're on about.

World Cup Alpine Ski Racing is a SUPERIOR athletic pursuit....and one that actually takes some goddamned BALLS as well...

go watch some more fucking basketball, or whatever game you're a fanboy of...

    silly jet-packer

  • that netting is there to save their life. i bet its a relief feeling yourself hit into it too rather than sliding off a cliff.

  • @jethangar

I like to see You at the start of the austrian downhill in Kitzbuhel and watch your tiny balls turn into small ice cubes! LOL

  • makes sense

  • i actually saw that live...

  • kitzbühel is the most dangerouse ski track in the world

Its so cool watching it in TV

And if you are in Austria, take a look at kitzbühel and try to ski this track....In TV it looks even harmless

  • Actually, this was one month after he won olympic title, it happened in Are, Sweden, March 2006. He came back in the next season but never made it on the top again. After another injury he finished his career.

  • that was a bad one, that snow is rock hard.

  • :44 to :47

the leg of the net whip his helmet off

  • what happened to him? was he ok?!

  • don't worry he's fine,his name's antoine deneriaz

  • yeah, he is okay. When he recovered, he won the gold medal in the olympic games =)

  • FATALITY...

  • You are an idiot.

  • this is the most dangerous sport

  • It´s very dangerous, but not the most dangerous sport!

  • try it.

  • what do you think is the most dangerous ever?

  • @nav2491i For example there are people who ski down mountains, which have never been discovered before. Many of these people die because of crevasses, avalanches and so on.

But I don´t want to say that alpine skiing isn´t extreme. Of course it is.

    Sorry for bad English.

  • HOLY FUCK

  • sweet! xD

  • aint he lucky that fence is there

  • OH MY FUCKING GOD

  • i don't remember did he get injured?

  • reported as: concussion and large hematoma on his buttocks and thigh. He retired in 12/2006 after Svindval crashed at Beaver Creek, Colorado in a training run. Svindal needed surgery to repair broken bones in his face and a deep laceration in his buttocks and groin muscle, probably caused by landing on the sharp edge of his ski as he crashed."

  • ok thanks

  • Ouch o_e

  • @BostonRocker51 thats not svindal

  • o Yes! he had a serious Cruciate ligament rupture. HE stopped more than one year. and stopped definitly skiing a little bit more than one year later because af the "fear".

  • omg

  • not to be an ass, but at least he was asleep for the worst part.

  • lmfao, i agreee(:

  • at least he fell out of his binding...

  • hr si loosing his helmet xD

is seemes to be a very cheap one^^

  • that must hurt ;o

  • HA OWNED LIEK BEWB

  • whatever asshole!

    That's terrible too ...

and now, btw, shut the fuck up !

  • also look at austrian guy who lose his leg an american who crashes so hard he loses his helmet and slide 100m on his face this isn't as bad as it gets.

  • i think i seen this on tv....

  • maybe you have. but it's also very terrible and more horrible than other fucking videos ...

  • scott a US guy at kitzbul moronthat wasn't bad you a joke

  • it was ... to be unconsciously is extremly bad ..

    fuck you !

  • who remebers a week later your alright again -some brain cells

  • the first hit knocked him out

  • The 1st impact, on the ground, hurt the worst.

The 2nd had more energy to break, but the fence did a fine job at scattering that energy in many long shocks, none being as bad as the 1st one.

Injuries were much less grave than could be feared (concussion, a bruise from thigh to hip); he got honorable results in next season, and only retired because at his age (31) the accident made him more conscient of the risks.

    Fri 23 Jan 2009 00:15 GMT

  • IOW, the more energy is spent in spectacular scattering of materials and debris, the less remains for causing injuries to persons. This is why in car races, concrete walls and tight spaces are replaced (when and where possible) with immense lawns and piles of staw trusses, which helped greatly to reduce casualties.

    Fri 23 Jan 2009 00:28 GMT

  • god damn thats a heavy whiplash

  • i'm sure u never got a crash like that! come on that guy was for sure tih like 130 kmh on the way!! hmm mayb u should try to crahs with a speed of 130 kmh then u cann feel it as well and write us how doest it feels.

    have a nice evining ;)

  • yes. this was a bad crash indeed. i say you have never fallen as such going 130kph

  • it is safety net. Look Ulrike Mayer fatal fall if u want see what it is without net.

  • at 25 when his head hit the ground did that insta ko him cos after that not much movement =p

  • there was a frame by frame of this in ski racing magazine. crazy shit

  • Antoine Deneriaz won the olympic gold medal in 2006 (Sestriere/Torino/Italy), Downhill Men.

    Ever heard of "Google"?

  • who the fuck are you to judge other people's comments you stinking pile of dog shit?

  • Did he cross the finish line?

  • "some guys should better learn skiing " wrote Stenchfucker !!!

Antoine Deneriaz won an olympic gold medal ! lol !

  • surely he broke one of his arms

  • where was it?

  • Stakars Svindal.

  • supervivio?

  • what did aksel lund svindal do? was he smiling?

  • Yes he was... But what do you want from them? This just HAS to be be a bunch of idiots with absolutely nothing in their heads because they're going 80mph and doing 100ft jumps lol But now seriously, I really like alpine skiing and I feel bad for Deneriaz but hey these guys were skiing and not learning throughout their whole lives. So they are awesome skiers but they don't really have to know how to behave tactfully. Crashes are just a part of a skier's everyday life I guess.

  • none the less it looks horrible

  • he don't ski now?

    when he stopped?

  • He had to ampitate the leg.

  • Ye sure...

  • During last summer he decided to end his career. But not after crash, he just retired, that's it.

Akai92 wrote something stupid, Lanzinger lost hist leg, not Deneriaz.

  • ouch....

  • he didnt land on his neck like maiers

  • ahh so gay crashing in tights

  • it's not so horrible herman maier at nagano !!!

  • i agree, he was just sliding on his back. it is awful, but there are many more horrible crashes

  • normally i would comment on how gay ski racing is but damn that guy was hawling ass and took that fall like a beast

  • did he die. and yea i ski race and i have crashed into those. THEY KILL! i get the wind knocked out of me! it hurts so bad

  • ´he isn´t dead

  • uh! ohohohohoh

  • I love a good ski crash

  • That poor ski fence! Oh no! I hate to see horrible things happen to innocent ski fences. It was just minding its own business when this guy comes along and plows into it. Poor thing.
