Wow. She isn't even strapped in her car seat correctly. The strap is all twisted and the harness isn't even in the right place and the straps look lose. Not to mention she is bobbling all over the place.. If you want to drive like a maniac then sure okay. But, don't risk your child's safety in the process. It looks like you should probably enroll in a parenting class or two.
you are very caring and attentive parents. However, have you ever visited a car seat technician to learn how to use the seat properly? I am a tech and I assure you that having the twist DOES affect the safety and if I installed the seat even without the base it wouldn't and couldn't rock like that. I urge you to find a car seat tech. more often than not just reading the manual isn't enough to get the installation correct.
1st: the shoulder strap on the car seat can't be clipped in wrong, its just twisted in the middle. next time you put your seat belt on, buckle it normally then twist the middle of it 180deg. both ends are still correct. We didn't notice that it was that way, but in no way effects its function.
2nd:,we were also surprised at how poorly the seat performed with lateral g's but it was installed correctly as graco states when not using the snap in base.
Like many others, you really need to check that baby's carseat installation, untwist her straps and get that CHEST buckle up at her CHEST... especially if you are going to be putting her in extreme danger like this often.
Is the carseat even latched or buckled in? oh my goodness it is moving more than you are! Please please please get some direction on using the carseat. PLEASE!!
