  • you missed his all blood red eye

  • i think it is one of webbers best works

  • bravo!!!

  • LND is based on the horrible novel "Phantom Of Manhattan" by Frederick Forsyth. Period. No replies wanted or needed. I simply couldn't enjoy it. I don't and won't care about any rants to my comment, so they're unnecessary. Thanks. Love your vids!

  • Get the DVD of the Australian production of LND - I'd love to hear you opinion on that, cuz I thought it was absolutely stunning!

  • lay of the zanax

  • i love you LOOK!!

my webcam dose the same fucking thing god DAMN it

    LOL XD

  • I enjoyed your review. In particular, your comment about "just going with an open mind, and enjoying yourself, and remembering that nothing will ever change the original novel" is such a good one. I myself am a huge PHAN of the original. Yet I also quite loved LND. Taken on its own merits, its a beautiful, interesting piece of theatre. You're right, nothing can compare with the original, and I think its important to see LND in its own light. A visual spectacular.

  • If you'd done your research, you would know there was a book written a long time after Gaston wrotethe original. so tho the show is written by ALW, the STORY wasn't. so before you blame him, go to the library, and learn how to open a book!

  • @seansuth Hello, troll. It's nice to see you still track down every last little video that is somewhat critical of your beloved train wreck. Unfortunately there isn't really a way to defend your claims, so you do the only thing possible: insult the critics. Why don't you head over to London? It's better to support a show by watching it. I even heard LND is throwing parties for its fans, complete with free tickets. They're probably good seats too. Got to make the house look full. :)

  • @SilverDrgnbane WTF kind of comment is that?! "Troll"? Do you even know what a troll is? LMAO! Seems YOU can't handle critisizem, with a douchebag comment like that. My "claims" are reallity, or FACT. Look up the book "Phantom of Manhattan" cunt! FYI, I don't care much for the fact he's joining the two shows either, but I atleast know the history. So go back to applying that horrid attempt at make up, or atleast research facts before opening your ugly little mouth again!

  • @SilverDrgnbane Oh, and BTW... Anyone with half a braincell would have re shot the video, or atleast would have figured out the camera BEFORE posting the video... Maybe you should read the instruction manual before worrying about anything else

  • have you even seen it? it's a great musical, can't be compared to anything! you can't compare love never dies to the phantom of the opera, 'cause there is no way to compare them. can´t even watch the rest of your video!

  • Just to say that the Phantom Mask is the oppisite way I kknow you can't do anything but just if you are a 'phantom phan' Then you have to have the right look!, Plus I was slightly on edge about how it could compete with the original success but seeing it once, and now twice its a musical of its own!! A Must Flipping See!!

  • @TheMusicalReviewer If you paid attention you would have seen my comment about the mask. The webcam is silly and sometimes mirrors the image. My mask is the correct design.

I respect your opinion of the new show. I truly can't form a real opinion of the whole business until I see it, but living in the States I'm not expecting for the tour to roll around any time soon. All I know is that the premise doesn't impress me and neither does the music in the soundtrack CD.

  • unless you have seen the show , dont diss lol i have seen the show ans it rocks

  • @danieljohndoyle My issue is not with the show's artistic merits, but with the idea of a sequel itself. I may hit on some artistic things here, but like you said those will not stay permanent as the show grows and if/when I am able to see it. I respect your opinion since you have seen it, but please use correct grammar. It will get you more respect. :)

  • Hi Mate Could U Tell Me Were I Can Get One Of Those MAsk From Many i am a phantom fan and have looked for one for ages cheers mate daniel

  • @danieltaylor1988 I found mine at Hot Topic around Halloween for a grossly large amount of money considering how ill-fitting it is on me. I think they can be found on online too, but you will have to look for yourself.

  • Heh, I have that mask also. Good rant, my phriend. You made some valid points.

  • Your mask is exactly like mine! Love it. I wish I could do makeup like yours, though. Isn't your mask on the wrong side, though? Maybe the camera "plays tricks"... I agree with your rant, too. I hate it that now some fans are going to associate every carnival theme park with Phantom... INSTEAD OF OPERA HOUSES AND CULTURE-- etc.

I think we all need to be grateful, at least, that the original was GREAT how it was, and all that comes after is adaptation. Some stories began bad and got better...

  • @DarthxErik Oh fudge.... I forgot to turn off the mirror function on my webcam! XD But yeah, Hot Topic mask. Too much money. @_@

  • @SilverDrgnbane I figured! You'd NEVER make the mistake of buying a mask for the left side of your face. XD

Yep, that's where I got mine. At least it was on a halloween sale! $10. Cheaper than the Gerard B. one I got several years ago for $30 on ebay. What a waste of money!!

  • I think Webber tried to deconstruct the first entry's themes, which is always a HUGE gamble and if done successfully, a HUGE payoff. However, I'd say LND's misstep seems to be a mixture of using an inferior novel & attempting push the sequel away from POTO's shadow so much that it creates wildly left field plot points and off characterization. It's SO different that it doesn't fit the characters, and the chars themselves have been so departed from for effect that they're barely recognizable.
