Works like a charm, you have to change the Phone Type to LG-VX9100 (enV 2) though if you have a newer Dare. Atleast I idid. thanks! better than paying 3.50 for a limited ringtone.

the brew mod ringtone part-  When i go to brew then mod, ringtone isn't in the folder, what do i do?

i did this and it worked but when i did it again my phone started bugging out. now i cant press anything on the screen. I tried taking out the ringtone with bitpim since i could not do so on the phone but the phone still doesnt let me do anything. what do i do?

hey man, i cat open bitpim, i get the error messae "This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem." and "See the logfile 'C\program files/bit pim\bitpimw.exelog' for details"

Worked great. My ringtones were in /brew/mod/10889/ringtones

just have to click on the + till you find the ringtone folder

The only thing you'll have to find that's free is a sound editor. Anything that can crop music. Other then that, BitPim is free.

hey killerz i had the same problem problem...but when u expand mod and u cant find the "ringtones" try expanding one of the numbered folders like 10889 or somtin like that...i found my ringtone folder in there..im using an LG DARE by verizon so i guess its a little different setup..i dont know which u are using

As for more custom ringtones, I honestly don't know. I currently have 4 in my list and added them without a problem. I guess you could see the differences between the two and try to match the working one? Lenght, format, quality?

..that's messed. Are they named the same? Try adding two at a time, or add 3 random mp3's and see if your phone can take it. (Sounds like you're adding one at a time, maybe that's the issue.)

I'm also with telus, I don't see that being the problem. It can't be the carrier (though not an expert) it has to be software related.

If that's the case...wow..uh..maybe the list of possible ringtones are exceded which wouldn't make sence because Telus allows for multiple downloads for ringtones. I'll fill up my phone and see if i can recreat your problem.

I have to make sure I don't cut my nails for weeks to take it out. I have a harder time putting it back in.

All you need to do is edit the song in any audio editing software. I use Adobe Audition. If you need help, let me know what song it is and at what points you want the song to go to and finish.
