I wonder about one thing. Alan spend 23,5 years in Jumanji. And knowing it like his own backyard, he never spotted HUGE, SMOKING, NOISY FACTORY!

I've been thinking about the nature of Jumanji. Perhaps its similar to a Zelda style videogame, where sections of the world only open up as the game progresses. So Alan was 'stuck' for twenty odd years in his beginner level, and new levels only open up as Alan and Judy progress.

@pixadavid I've got better explanation now - it's freaking huge jungle. There are so many places that... well, Alan just COULDN'T notice the smoke or hear the noise! But let's put all the blame on the fact it's just an animated show and when I was a kid my last problem was how the heck Alan didn't ever find out Ibsen's factory. More important was fun from watching it xD
