His name was Karl (Charlie)Zimmermann and I believe he was finally killed in a mishap a few years ago. I have a lot of hours flying the Bolkow, and although it is not the smoothest flying machine, it is certainly very well made, very stout, and very capable of more than what is being shown here. It is a great machine, even as old as the design is.
very skillful and he shows a lot of awareness hidden to ppl at all. He must be aware of the length, inclination and the elevation of the whirling blades. And this must be done in stagnant climate. Anyway, he extended the Flying Tiger of the body part for himself.
