@bigmonkeyman44 I have since retired the 250cc karts ( they just take up space in my garage )... I now have two Honda Pilots which are a whole lot more fun. Check out the video watch?v=F3s_TtPcQyk
@gvandenb my 80s racing offroad kart has 2 wheel drive is better video on my profile .if i get stuck i can just pick the back of the go kart up and walk it up a hill or out of mud or whatever.
problem with go karts now they're too fucking heavy .
Hi there which would be better, the hammer head 250 or these I'm interested in them both but which would be better performance and speed wise? Thanks please reply!
why do things like this have to have such small engines like 250cc, why dont the put REAL engines in there like a 16hp briggs or honda or a 22hp vtwin, or at least a 300cc plus engine, i just dont get it
y is evry1 havin a problem with right and left feet just get over it evry1 is wrong here in a certain way cause different carts are differint and dont even bother arguin cause i dont care wat u hav to say
one of my friends has one of those and we used it to tow a japanese minitruck about a kilometer and up a 100 meter hill so i guess you can say that those things have balls
well i'm in canada and i am sorry for causing this debate because i do own a lance charger 250 and i use opposite feet to accelerate and brake because it is automatic and it is spacious enough to brake with your left foot and i apologize for not fully reading our comments
go to driving school OR go to your parents your fucking 9 year old you break with your right foot snd you gas with your right foot ask your parents you fag
what is the name of the Go-Kart i would like to know and by the way nice property and how much did it cost u to buy them they are nice and so is that muffler
The karts are Lance Charger 250s and they were also imported under the Coolster Challenger brand. I bought them for around $2200/each but you can probably get them for around $2000 now.
The vid revolves around the GoKarts, and there is a lot of interests from most who see it.
By the way, great vid, I know you have a blast with those things riding them when ever you feel like it. I recommend putting a crap-load of lights on them and riding them at night, that is if your property is big enough not to piss off the neighbors. LOL.
It used to have three lights across the front... but they were promptly removed when a friend rolled the kart on the first day i had them. I have replacement lights but just haven't put them back on yet.
Wow, I know what you mean about not having done it. That "Procrastination Monster" is hard to fight off, specially when those Gkarts beg insatiably to be ridden~!!! LOL.
If you ever get around to installing the lights, please post a longer vid, hopefully of the same quality, of your adventures. I ca not ride Gkarts currently and watching vids of others having a blast, makes feel like I am there my self. Have a blast. ^_^
The first rollover took care of the headlights. I think they could have designed that part of the kart a little better. The radiator is the one that came with it... the only change i have made is the exhaust.
Those look pretty sweet, I still like the old Honda Pilots though. But since you can't buy them new anymore these look like a good substittue. Thanks for sharing
The karts go about 35mph stock. You can make modifications if you want them to go faster. They have alot of low-end power without modifications. You can turn the wheel, stomp on the gas, and spin it until you get sick if you want.
i have a charger i baught and everything started to break on it i had to get it fixxed alot there awsome and fun to ride though now im gonna get mine fixed agian lol
Another quick question and i'll leave ya alone. lol Do you know of the sites that sell the performance parts for it. I have been looking all over and haven't had much luck. Where did you get your new pipe from? Thanks again.
Is this cart as fast as they say they are? One website is selling them and it says they can reach 60+ depending on the weight of the driver. Also, how is there acceleration? is it quick or is it a slow smooth take off? I'm thinking about getting one just don't want to get it and be dissapointed with its performance lol. Thanks
You won't be disappointed with the power. It has plenty of torque. Out of the box it does not go 60+ mph. There are websites that have performance upgrades, but i haven't upgraded anything but the exhaust so far.
hey , i'm about to buy this kart i'm 6'1 but i dont mind bending my knees a bit. Should i really spend all my part time job money on it? Do you regret buying it, and if you have any links to single seat 250cc go karts. please reply :)
I'd say if you had extra money to buy a go kart then do it, because it is fun for everyone. At 6'1 you'll be cramped in this kart. I personally would suggest you don't spend your part time money on it. That said, these karts are extremely fun. They have a respectable amount of power. Power sliding around corners never gets old.
My karts did not come with a logo on the front. The lights were the first casualty for the karts. The lights fell victim to reckless friends performing spectacular rollovers. Needless to say those friends have a new found respect for the karts.
is the 150cc charger the same size as the 250cc??? I'm ordering one real soon but i'm taking the engine off and putting on an 500cc motor from an motorcycle.. Is the size difference between the two only the engine??? i'm 6'1 and hoping i can fit in the 150cc comfortable... please reply ordering soon...
I have a friend who 6'2 and he was not comfortable. The karts are perfect for 5'10 and under. You should check the specs on scootersfactory to see if the dimensions are the same between the 150cc and the 250cc.
Where did you get them, are they reliable, is it easy to get replacement parts and how much did it cost, I would really like to know because me and my friend are looking at getting a gokart in the 250cc range.
I got them from scootersfactory for about $2200 each. They are reliable in 50 degree weather but don't do so well in freezing temperatures. There are sites online where you can get parts. I'm happy with the purchase, they are a lot of fun.
Did you say they were "Challengers" or "Chargers"...? I am looking at a 250cc Charger I found on a website that claims it can do 60mph, but I have a feeling it's a BS claim... Also they charge 2199.00 I am wondering if that is a good price..
