They ruin lore, cater to the lowest common denominator, took the -War- out of the game, go back on their word constantly, care more about the store then new content. I think WoW will still be fun, to a certain extent, because Blizzard does have a decent amount of quality control.
I think GW2 will be more fun. They are taking a step back and questioning what an MMORPG is. Many MMORPGs drag players through the RP part. Take for example SWTOR. Yeah, people want the story, but I just want some fun. So what does GW2 say? It tells me that I don't NEED to grind. I don't NEED to gear for PvP. When I feel like doing the RP part of the game, I just go and do it.

Developed the 3d rendering engine for Warcraft 3 and led the development of Battle.net, the thing that blizzard actually uses for its online functionality. the people working on GW2 are simply some of the best through and through.
I think that guild wars 2 will come on top, the PvE looks awesome and in WoW you do the something over and over again. But Arenanet has shown that there is going to be random events to keep the players playing. Yes Arenanet hasn't touched on PvP to much but there a bit over half way of making the game so don't go and say thing like (WoW PvP is bettter) when Arenanet hasn't even shown much about they PvP. Every race in guild wars 2 starts off in a different place and has a new story to every one.

GW2 looks like a sweet game but its not going to kill WoW. I have been playing wow for 7 years and for the last 3 or so years I haven't pvp'ed much at all because its just rotten at the core and completely unbalanced, and don't even get me started on the pve content.

@KalelCandora PvP always has been and always will be imbalanced in some way or another. It wasn't balanced in GW1 and probably won't be in GW2. As for pvp wow has 14 heroic dungeons alone and 2 endgame raids (I don't consider T10 raids endgame) compared to the 3 endgame dungeons GW2 has announced so far. I'm sure WoW gets boring after playing it a while but GW2 will not be some godly mmo perfect in every way. WoW will still be just as big as it if not bigger.
Of course PvP will always be unbalanced because that is the nature of people (hence player vs player). The best thing that can be done for PvP is make it so that every player has near-fair chance, the skills of players and the proffessions should be the defining elements of victory and defeat in any pvp scenario. And no offense but wow is heading for the toilet, I have played that game for 7 years and I will be cancelling my account just like millions of others have.

@BeingMeObvi Yes the articles talk about questing and a few dungeons but there is an obvious lack of endgame dungeons with only 3 being announced. They haven't talked much about PvP but that was the core of GW1 so it likely will be similar in GW2
@Ferendel1995 Have you seen gameplay for GW2? They focus on community. That means for PvE and PvP alike. They have hardly touched PvP aspects on GW2 to the public and mostly all content that has been shown has been PvE.

Point is until open beta comes out and you get to feel the game for yourself you can't really judge GW2 at all unless you played the demos at Gamecom, Pax, etc... Looks like it will be really good and entertaining, but you just can't tell if it is entertaining (for you) until you get your hands on it and get a good 5-10 hours of play in since 45 minute demos your just getting use to what spell does what.
For me, I am burnt out on WoW and so will be playing ToR and GW2. WoW has its good things and bad just like any other. ToR has great story telling that is engaging and GW2 has a unique take on "questing". You can not really comment on combat watching others play, you don't get the feel without playing yourself, heck at first I was turned off of ToR because its combat looked disconnected, but as I played the beta it felt good (a few levels in)...

WoW is outdated and old yes, but still great fun and WoW still has over 13 million players, people prefer gameplay over graphics. I seen the GW2 demo and so far all I can say is it looks good graphical wise but after 4 years of working on it, we were expecting that and gameplay I can't say yet. I don't get why people are hating on WoW. It's a great game and can be super fun. I'm a long time player of both WoW and Guild wars 1, and am certainly going to buy guild wars 2. WoW gameplay is superior to GW1. I really hope GW2 is a huge step upward from its predecessor. GW1 was not that fun to play honestly. Immediately I was turned off to the game when you could not move the camera around with the mouse. Call it petty but if the controls are too strange to use, I am not going to have fun playing the game.

Now we'll get badass PvE content, unlimited armor customization (transmogrification) including t13 and season 11 gear. Guild wars 2 "revolution" is another way of saying orderly group questing.

Raids are teamwork based that got Pentagon famous. Guild leveling was their idea as well as customization of all the old gear. Which in 7 years worth of making gear, people are already posting their ideas and having others rate each other and admiring styles. I don't have time to tell you their story though.

@KalelCandora PvP always has been and always will be imbalanced in some way or another. It wasn't balanced in GW1 and probably won't be in GW2. As for pvp wow has 14 heroic dungeons alone and 2 endgame raids (I don't consider T10 raids endgame) compared to the 3 endgame dungeons GW2 has announced so far. I'm sure WoW gets boring after playing it a while but GW2 will not be some godly mmo perfect in every way. WoW will still be just as big as it if not bigger.

Of course PvP will always be unbalanced because that is the nature of people (hence player vs player). The best thing that can be done for PvP is make it so that every player has near-fair chance, the skills of players and the proffessions should be the defining elements of victory and defeat in any pvp scenario. And no offense but wow is heading for the toilet, I have played that game for 7 years and I will be cancelling my account just like millions of others have.

@BeingMeObvi Yes the articles talk about questing and a few dungeons but there is an obvious lack of endgame dungeons with only 3 being announced. They haven't talked much about PvP but that was the core of GW1 so it likely will be similar in GW2

Point is until open beta comes out and you get to feel the game for yourself you can't really judge GW2 at all unless you played the demos at Gamecom, Pax, etc... Looks like it will be really good and entertaining, but you just can't tell if it is entertaining (for you) until you get your hands on it and get a good 5-10 hours of play in since 45 minute demos your just getting use to what spell does what.

Subjective question but anyways...
For me, I am burnt out on WoW and so will be playing ToR and GW2. WoW has its good things and bad just like any other. ToR has great story telling that is engaging and GW2 has a unique take on "questing". You can not really comment on combat watching others play, you don't get the feel without playing yourself, heck at first I was turned off of ToR because its combat looked disconnected, but as I played the beta it felt good (a few levels in)...

WoW is outdated and old yes, but still great fun and WoW still has over 13 million players, people prefer gameplay over graphics. I seen the GW2 demo and so far all I can say is it looks good graphical wise but after 4 years of working on it, we were expecting that and gameplay I can't say yet. I wait till GW2 gets out next year and see for myself.
So far all I read is people saying how awesome GW2 will be, how much better then other games, yet they havent played GW2 yet!

I have played WoW for a very long time, but it's very expensive.
GW2 is coming with many original ideas like dynamic events, better graphics and stuff. For these reasons i quitted WoW and will be playing GW2.

I don't get why people are hating on WoW. It's a great game and can be super fun. I'm a long time player of both WoW and Guild wars 1, and am certainly going to buy guild wars 2. Guild wars 2 will definitely not kill wow. Maybe it'll take some players away, but millions of players will stay with wow. Just my opinion.

WoW gameplay is superior to GW1. I really hope GW2 is a huge step upward from its predecessor. GW1 was not that fun to play honestly. Immediately I was turned off to the game when you could not move the camera around with the mouse. Call it petty but if the controls are too strange to use, I am not going to have fun playing the game.

On paper, GW2 appeals to me more. Who knows how it will be when it is actually released but if it lives up to its expectations it is superior, and even if it doesn't, WoW is still a pretty average game considering you pay a monthly subscription for it.

If you're a graphics whore, you can say its pretty exaggerated. If you're a content whore, WoW will still be more up to date. Guild leveling, acheivements, rated bg's, non-fake world pvp and the new quests they made for lowbie toons in cata. Now we'll get badass PvE content, unlimited armor customization (transmogrification) including t13 and season 11 gear. Guild wars 2 "revolution" is another way of saying orderly group questing.

@Angedemonist Gameplay is like... what.... having 30 key binds including shift+ buttons to keep your eyes on the screen for good positioning critical to pvp and pve? Raids are teamwork based that got Pentagon famous. Guild leveling was their idea as well as customization of all the old gear. Which in 7 years worth of making gear, people are already posting their ideas and having others rate each other and admiring styles. I don't have time to tell you their story though.

Nobody wants a bunch of kids and jerks comming in for free and croud up the server and not getting the money to perform server maintenance. WoW is worth paying for. Their graphics get a little better at least. It's not squares and circles at least. Good enough to easily notice their armor and hair style from in-game distance.
