  • hahahah awsome ....awsome

  • why is "Lazer Tag" Spelled with a Z and not "Laser"

  • @Olirap Marketing.

  • @voiceofthelost i hate it when the marketting guys get things wrong. :P

  • lazer tag is for pussys that cant withstand the pain from an airsoft gun

  • @NightmareDFF Airsoft is for pussies that can't withstand the pain from a real gun.

  • @PneumoniaForce real guns are for pussies that can't withstand the pain from chuck norris.

  • @NightmareDFF

or perhaps, you've never used one to know that it's a harder game to play than getting tagged by an airsoft gun.

  • my dad had the black pistol liked one in the very end.

  • thats like some tron american gladiator shit bro

  • This was my favorite commercial growing up. I remembered it for years.

  • sookieee

  • they should have put a tactical insertion at the top so when they died they could respawn with their skateboards again at the top of the ramp

  • @elementoffire1329 lol. man... lol!

  • skateramp not included.

  • This Long ass Commercial of Nothing lol. I mis them Days when toys were TOYS..U needed like 20 aa batteries..and like alot of C and D's as well with everything...OH lawd.Dont forget Xmas time when you got a RC car and they forgot the Batteries...

  • This was freaking epic for 1986. The arena was actually the shark tank at Sea World in San Diego California, and was drained to make this commercial. The skateboard leap over the atv took several tries before they got the timing right. Here's the really mind-blowing bit. That commercial cost Worlds of Wonder around $4 million usd. This was the same company that brought us the Class Act school supplies, GT Screamers (Slotless slot-cars), the Jaminator, the talkiong mother goose, and Teddy Ruxpin

  • The creators of this and several of WoW's other products went on to form "Shoot the Moon" based in Pleasanton, CA. There, they continued to develop lazertag products and licenced them to companies like Tiger Electronics. My team and I had the opportunity to meet with David S. and Paul R. (Not listing their entire last names so that they may retain some measure of privacy), where we discussed lazer tag with them, and got to see some of the old prototypes. The original Starlyte Pro rifle was black

  • and was loud as heck. After the kid got shot in San Jose (Dummy snuck up behind an officer with his StarLyte trained on him) the creators decided to make the new taggers all white so as not to be mistaken for weapons. If you have any questions about the old LT, feel free to post a reply and I'll see if I can answer you.

And Duke, thanks for posting this vid! Ah, the memories!

  • only one word LUCKY

  • I always wanted to play this Laser Tag when I saw the commercial wayy back.

  • I remember this commercial. Me and the neighborhood kids use to play all the time. Things got interesting when this one guy's mom bought him the white rifle. mad everyone look bad. LOL!!! Lazer Tag was greater than Photon.

  • Funny... 0:45 the guy yells "Hawk!" and there's a skateboarder named Hawk...

The helmets in this commercial rock! It would have been cool to buy those versions... :]

  • I still own a set of these lazer tag guns, so many childhood memories!!

  • Lazer Tag was so kick-ass. My buddies and i used to have epic battles all across our little town. They'd usually last an entire day (half of it taken up by one team trying to just FIND the other :P)

  • this is so retard...

  • god. They really don't make epic commercials like this anymore. That commerical was pretty edgy.

  • Wow! This is OLD! (& sweet!)

  • i remember a cop shot somebody with this lazer tag gun.what boggled my mind it was only a toy.

  • at least it comes with the arena unlike

    other 90's lazer tag sets...am i right?

  • Goddamn...that air over the hip and blasting the six shots to tag the guy out....that was a kids wet, futuristic dream back then...the good old days.

  • @eldest91 hell no i wanna play like that

  • I must admit, When this commercial came out I was taken in by it. It had EVERYTHING a teenager wanted, skate boards on a skate park with a 4 wheeler shooting lazers at each other in a futuristic type world.

  • @reverendjeremiah you're not the only one!

  • @reverendjeremiah now you look at it and think.......wow thats crap xD

  • Shame WoW went bellyup. :(

They were putting out stuff that was ahead of it's time.

  • You fucking asshole..What do you know ? ColonelSamatoshi ? You have no BRAINS!

  • That would be funny if that viking guy did a faceplant on the ground and like blown up! lol

  • This is very weird. Lol

  • just like rollerball!

  • this is how i play my lazer tag games. on skateboards nd atv's. wee dont care if anyone gets killed. we just think its part of the game. ya

  • The "Rookie" Thing is what sticks in my head the most about that commerical.

  • sure looks like blade runner

  • cheeseyz

  • What was that all about

  • I want the helmet :)

  • my dad saw this and said he rememberd this comercil

  • I only ever remembered the guy at the end screaming in defeat. Thanks for bringing that memory back.

I had forgotten about the whole 'rookie' theme of this commercial.

  • wow... umm its called paintball or airsoft, have u heard of them before?

  • lmao, just stupid kid toy XD just go play megazone or paintball, its funner.

  • I didn't know you could ride on quads and skateboards in laser tag arenas. How much did that cost?

  • holy shit, theres no telling how many times i fell for advertisements for 'kickass' toys, only to get 'em home and be like, "wtf, thats it? wheres MY laser arena?"

  • those white rifles look cool

  • wtf?

  • Seriously? wtf.

  • for a moment it looked like rollerball

  • I thought that was a futuristic version of the X-Games

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • man, the future is going to be awesome

  • hahhaha!!! i think crailtap should reenact it

  • "Rookie"? Crap! All this time I thought he was saying "LUCKY!"

  • Thank you! I thought I was the only one!

  • Holy crap...I thought I was watching a commerical from one of the Robocop movies.

  • Alot of people dont realize that that ending Stunt there performed by the "ROOKIE" character played by Noah Hathaway, was performed by Tony Hawk.

  • Definitely not. Tony Hawk's goofy footed, and this guy has a different style.

  • nice try rookie. That was the only skaters name you could drop.

  • Ah the commercials of the 80's, a time where a story was told. :) You don't see that many commercials do that nowadays.

  • wtf...

  • Ah yes...(growls) "ROOKIE"...too much fun to watch again.

  • so epic HAHAHAHAHA good times

  • I have yet to get a Pro.

  • Man, they sure spent alot on these commercials.

  • Oh boy, do I ever remember this! Thanks for posting this!

  • Sweet!! I haven't seen this since the late 80's. Now all that's left is the commerical they ran in which China and the US are competing over the statue of liberty.

  • I am glad you mentioned that jpbas. Everytime I have mentioned that one ( believe it is called the Liberty Challenge) no one remembers and they think I am crazy. I also think it was Russia against the U.S. playing though too.

  • This commercial was known as the "Rookie" commercial. THe lead actor (the rookie) is actor Noah Hathaway who played Atraeu in the Neverending story.

  • And Boxey from the original 78 Battlestar Galactica. Man to have Jane Seymore (Dr Quinn MW) as your mom!? Lucky lil bastard! hehe

  • good ad for laser tag, thanks for the upload :-) been looking for this, i am a huge laser tag fan, again thanks for the upload :-)
