your pinched harmonics sounds forced and you lack the smoothness of the song. not saying you should try to play exactly like satriani does cuz there's none who can. but try to practice the smooth feel of playing. cuz even if it's a super heavy metal song, you should try to make it sound effortless. not saying i'm better then you cuz i've only been playing for about 2 years. just my oppinion. rock on dude!
I think you could have tried a different approach on the first solo bit(from... 1:27 and beyond) because you did repeat a lot that riff before 'going on' :P
But near the end of the song you really put your phrasing to work, and that was awesome xD

Your lacking anything to back your statements. You only have two videos posted, of 5 years ago. And as far as regret is concerned, you didn't regret it enough to take them down. I'm not trying to impress the world, I'm trying to have fun. I have plenty of originals that I choose not to put on youtube . Even though i have a very little chance of getting signed, I'd like to retain what little chance I have. Having well known covers here allows me to show talent without risking that.
I think your just narrow minded in your musicianship. There's a reason it's called "Improvisation" and "Interperatation". Personally, I'd be complimented if someone wanted to learn one of my songs and play around with it. Obviously, your lacking something in the music department. Even if i dislike someones music, even a cover, I support them for playing, and learning... take a lesson man. I'll take your critique a little more seriously when you put some of your own stuff up on you tube.
