amazing cover, it's just such a pity Nick was too fragile to suport the weight of such a fierce talent, it makes me beleive in higher things, this beautiful man we beamed down to earth for such a short time and left us these amazing songs, and his voice and playing to match. You're right, but sounding like the original song is not an easy achievement. Many people wanted to experience Nick Drake live, but many didn't. This guy sounds eerily similar to Nick. And you never know, people might pay to see plectrum34 perform just to get that, what could've been feeling. Heaven knows I would. (If it was cheap, that is)

I was initially skeptical when i saw the studio set up. I thought it might be an unfeeling rendition, but what pleasant surprise. Your faithful recreation of the music was quite impressive, but your voice took it over the top. How often a promising cover is marred by a weak/unmusical voice. The song really came through you, however.

My M20 is a 58 and oddly enough I'm still using the same strings it had when I bought it so I'm not sure of the brand.I'm going for that "dead string" sound on a lot of the ND records,although to be honest this guitar doesn't sound very much like his and I've read he didn't even use this model.But I like the sound of it in any case
