hasport can make any product but it doesnt necessarily mean that everyone is buying there products.. they make the J engine mounts for the civic but does that mean everyone is doing the J swaps now?

uhh because ctr/itr trannys are no easy to come buy plus if you did wanna buy one theyre pretty expensive..like spankvision said, how come hasport makes a mount kit for B series cable trannys for EK /EJ chassis hondas? because its common for guys to run cable b16 trannys and other b-series cable type trannys due to the fact they're great for all motor applictions (having shorter gears) and they're easier to come by than hydro ctr/itr trannys? guys will even run cable LS trannys on ek/ej chassis

you have a fast motor and you invested on everything to make it fast.. but you dont want to invest in a simple hydro transmission because cable is the cheap route? doesnt make sense... I never heard someone go thru all that trouble just to install a mount kit that allows a user to run cable trannys in a hydro vehicle.. its just stupid.. there are plenty of hydro trannys out there.. unless the ctr or itr trannys only come in cable, then that would be a good reason to convert it...

No one is saying they are cheap, although it is a cheaper alternative. Like the guy said, sometimes a CTR/ITR trans are just plain hard to come by. And sometimes, people don't want to wait for a trans to finally be for sale at a ridiculous asking price, just to have to wait longer to put their cars on the road! Plus, when your doing all motor setups, the difference between hydro and cable are minute, its not like its going to shave 5 tenths of a sec off your time...... Or even 1 tenth at best!

well the reason why i would say stick to hydro is because its an easier alternative when your car is already hydro.. would you recommend the older b16a that comes with cable transmission in order to swap into a new 96-00 civic? its just stupid and pointless.. the b16a2 hydro would be the better option because you wouldnt have to deal with changing and buying aftermarket rear motor mounts just to convert to cable.. besides the newer hydro transmission will give you a chance of no grinds
