  • eZdia team is a group of diverse individuals who have known each other for a long time and share the passion of creating a visionary knowledge platform. We want this knowledge platform to enable people from all walks of life to share their experiences, and learn as they go through different phases of life.

  • @rhugh052 of fear of rejection outwieghing potential gain from talking to someone...this has the feel of LB VS RB asymmetry....since Fear & Anxiety are associated with the LB, and Elation is associated with RB, at least according to the book 'My Stroke of Insight' by Jill Bolte Taylor

  • While these statements are true, this advice has extremely limited value for a professional trader and potentially negative value for the layman. The last thing that who lacks a structured approach to trading needs to hear is that they should hesitate before quitting when they're ahead. This is the kind of advice that you'd expect to hear from a casino operator.

Unless you start out with a large amount of cash, like 2000 dollars will the bet actually become worth taking because only with so much money can you make 100% sure that you can keep the game running long enough for the odds to play in your favor. You have to play like a thousand or more games.

  • I doubt I'd have the patience to do a thousand games. Might have a greater chance of getting killed by that guy who wants his money back.

  • Investing or Vegas.......

Vegas. I'll still be out the money but at least I can see a couple of cool shows.

  • or a couple of interpersonal shows for that matter ; )

  • Oh how the mighty have fallen.

  • This is the Doogie Howser of risk aversion theory. Fortunately he was able to drive there all by himself on his bigwheels.

  • This loss aversion is related, I think, to the reason why people stick with bad beliefs, despite realizing that they're bad. They want to hold onto the beliefs on the hope that one day, they'll become vindicated.
