Yes, there are more paper bills circulating now, but the price of gold has gone up as well which simple means that your $1 of worth less (in gold) today than it was in 1790. I like this guys opinion on the second amendment, but he incorrect about fiat currency. It was not "created out of thin air." People who use this term do not understand inflation. Yes, there are more paper bills circulating now, but the price of gold has gone up as well which simple means that your $1 of worth less (in gold) today than it was in 1790. The relationship isn't perfectly correlated but it's obviously there.

There are over 230 million AK47's in the world, more than 50 times the M16.

@p71280 Couple of inaccuracies here... And some misuse of English. Firefights in modern war are usually confined to 300 yards or less, not 65. They can be "buried" in sand and snow, and if you run over an AK with a tank it'll be iffy on whether its screwed or not. And current estimates place the number at around 100 million variants, not 230 million. There are about ten million M16s floating around as well... Cheers!
