A number of years ago I had business in Montreal and went there many times. I enjoyed the city very much. At that time it had a "small town" feel about it but was a very cosmopolitan city as well, if that makes any sense. Sure, I encountered a few rude people who resented me because I could not speak French but overall the people there were very nice to me. Long live Canada and La Belle Province. Incidentally I've recommended the Queen Elizabeth hotel to many others.
