  • This methed seems to take forever man...what wing profiles are your blades? NACA 65?

  • @h06akg yes but they didnt build Rome in a day. It could be, you tell me 1/42.4 of the blade chord ir is 4.6% 1/39.25 of the blade chord it is 6.12 % + again but 7.18% 1/46 of the blade chord it is 8.07% 1/19.63 of blade chord it is 9.7% and again i will finish this percentage later

  • Hi again. What rpm do you expect full power and what do you expect the self sustaining rpm to be? Do you have any figures on fuel consumption or AF ratios?

Are you reading something like Kerrebrocks Gas Turbine books or are mathematics/aerodynamics an everyday thing for you?

    Really nice project. Fabulous achievement.

  • @loonylecky The full power will be at 45000, the self sustaining rpm has yet to be worked out, i only have figures for thrust wich will be 260Lbs + The book i use is by three Authors "Gas Turbine Theory" its an in depth book on the Theory sid of Gas Turbines, i dont recognise the one that you mention. Mathamatics isnt an everday thing for me but i am a fast learner and i stick at something until i solve it, i have aways been this way, aerodynamics i am familiar with, i design all my R/C models.

  • this is amazing hand craft :D I wonder how you determine the angel of the blade, in comparison to the specifics of the engine ?

  • @Bassils it is done by complex mathamatical calculations

  • Pretty nice blade you have there. Will you have to heat treat?

  • @TalksWithDirt No, heat treatment will not be necessary as this would make the material brittle and this steel has a small amount of chrome in it.

  • @TR3B11 Why don't you build yourself a diy for that specific blade dimension and a 1,700F or 1,800F oven, then get yourself a press to press the molecules together. You probably would want to do it in 2 stages in the press though to make it stronger less brittle and more resilient. 1 stage 20 tons 2 stage 80 tons approx. Im just estimating on that part though i haven't tried it for myself yet. I would have to say for smaller blade sizes such as yours. Of coarse you would need more material
