  • @SuperChiffa you have good taste in music for your age. STay that way. I grew up listening to music way before my time as well.

  • Wow it didnt take much to entertain a crowd in the early 80s! Great song, but what a horrible performance.

  • Can't get into this one, one of the few Kenny songs I don't like. Love the guy, but love the pop and R&B songs he sings.

  • BjZnRPZ...you R sick! Most of these people are DEAD! Right?! How the Hell OLD ARE YOU PUNK?

  • Yes we did have oh so many great singers song writers back then. Is all I still listen to today. I was like 19. sure do miss going to all those concerts.

  • Still appreciating Kenny and his "soul" music after a million years.

He's music is my chicken soup! Met him once, true to his persona and then some!

  • One of the great lines.. Try to earn what lovers own

  • I'm from Santa Barbara, and the sound at the Bowl SUCKS! He'd have been much better off at the Arlington.

  • @TheBlackhawk58: "gay" does not equal shitty, you asshole. I'm gay and I love this song.

  • I hate people say the shit i listen to is weird , while they are listening to lady gag and other gay ass pop shit which is the disco of our generation. When will this gay pop shit pass and actually using a musical instrument and a good voice come back .

  • im sorry for the person who put the dislike im sorry that he has no sense of good music

  • @ryank1esko I know it's not 80's but that's when I discovered it lol

  • Although this video is from 1981, this song is actually from 1972. For some reason he dropped several verses of the song, perhaps b/c this was on TV and one verse mentions getting high.

  • *Sigh* This makes me depressed I wasn't born in the 70s

  • oh wow!

  • I love this song. This really brings tears of joy to my eyes. Miss the 80's and early 90's...good music

  • Thank you!

  • thanks for sharing this wonderful video...

  • too bad people don't write songs like this anymore.

  • @crashburn753

    yeah you're right.

    hahaha.

we're born in the wrong era.

  • I live in sb and my brother became good friends with the son he talked he is going to later have

  • i love this. i love artists who know that true music means something other than "synthesized."

  • @shaelansays13

    um... what?

this song is awesome, totally, but to claim that synthesized music is not true music seems rather ill-informed.

  • @artykaveman - yes, after all, "Footloose" includes electric guitars, synthesizers etc. that Kenny Loggins wrote, recorded and performed. however, music produced and performed like "Danny's Song", "Fire & Rain" (James Taylor), "Leader of the Band" (Dan Fogelberg) etc. has a way of touching the heart that seems to be unmatched with predominantly synthesized music.

  • i really really love this song.

    <3 <3 <3

  • Great song and performer!!!

  • this song reminds me of my brother lenny.... i grew up listening to and loving kenny loggins... i wish i could see a loggins concert one day, im 25

  • @seismotronik Im 22 and I agree. I would love to see him, a true unsung hero of the music industry. fromt his stuff even to the score work he did. A great guy. he still performs BTW, he was on the today show maybe a year ago doing footloose : )

  • @buckracer I am in my mid twenties and I was fortunate enough to meet him some years ago in Crusted Butte, Colorado during a Country in the Rockies event, basically a fund Raising event for Cancer and Medical Research. He was preforming with others in a small bar and went for a break outside. I rushed outside to try and at least get a picture. I thought he had taken off. While I was looking around he came up to me and tapped me on the shoulder, it was pretty cool. He was very nice.

  • thats true feelings. sorry for you youmissed that decade.

  • @snowyforeskin

Keep it in and share to our sons.

  • I was born in the wrong era

  • @crashnburn753 Hahahaha, I was just about to write that!!!

  • @crashnburn753 Same here...music and culture have gone to shit. I wish I had been able to exerience those things before they started to die off.

  • @crashnburn753

make your era yours. make the change you wish to see.

  • @crashnburn753 So was I. This song is awesome. I was 2 in 1981.

  • @crashnburn753 make the most of it, you can still grow a mullet and wear a figure skating outfit.

  • most of the ppl in this video are dead

  • @BJZnRPZ I bet you're great at parties.

  • @crashnburn753 i was born in the right era, but the wrong country! peace n love to all!

  • No way! Christopher Atkins is in the audience. Look closely at 1:42. It's totally him.
