@destructorbeam you haven't listened to enough kraftwerk by the sounds of it sir or madam...it's quite different, this is some kind of synth disco fluff, it hasn't got the depth or complexity that Kraftwerk achieved. While this is catchy, that's all it is. Two listens and it comes of as boring and very repetitive. It's one dimensional, by the fade out you can tell they've run out of ideas. The synths still sound nice though, but ohh that disco bass line is killing me, it's bargain bin Moroder.

@destructorbeam I hate to admit it but I-m afraid that I have to agree with you. It hurts as Kraftwerk is my favourite group. I haven't heard this music prior to today. Funny because in the past week, two friends of mine mentioned The Droids and asked if I knew them. Kraftwerk remains my favourite still due to their entire collection and their influence on many genres of music to this day. But this track is better than all Kraftwerk tracks except for Numbers + Home Computer. Can't touch those!

I still rememeber the first time I heard this song. Back in 1980. I taped in a cassette and had it played in my schoolbus tape player. All my friends loved it and wanted more of it. You could see from that time how much electronic music was going to be a hit. Then it that time people wouldn't listen to Jean Michel Jarre, in my opinion, trance and electronic music grandfather!

@destructorbeam When you think about it, Kraftwerk's music really wasn't that melodic. Their true greatness was their pioneering use of synthesizers and also the way they influenced so many artists that came along after them.
