why's everyone bumming teenagers who listen to 80s music? I'm a teenager who listens to music from the 70s and 80s, and I adore it, but I don't think this makes me cooler or better than any other teenager. we just have different taste.
on the other hand, I love this song. my dad used to play it in the car when I was a little kid hehe <3

i'm 15 this year and i listen to music from all decades. i listen to music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, current hits and classical pieces. i personally think that they're all good in their own way. there's good music no matter which decade you're from. if you really listen to the music with an open mind, good music will sound good. so i think we all should stop comparing the decades and actually take some time to properly listen to music as music and not judge it based on which year it was from.

I was born in '91, so I missed the 80s. Luckily, my parents didn't, and I still got to hear all the good music! (When you get past the bubblegum, the 80s had some of the best music to offer in the 20th century.)

@weirdscience85 i was born in late 91 and am still 19 and all of those movies etc were literally the ones i have grown up to as well-don't think there is really some clear cut divide between being a child of this decade and that esp when you're on the cusp like me and many others.. i got a mix of all three decades 80s 90s and 00s..cartoons were the BEST in the nighties and very early 00s- glad i had my tv screen on in those times..its now permanently off!-LITERALLY & fuck do i love it that way

@childofthe80s1981 Yep! you're the last of Gen X.. you can even read on wikipedia about the generations, early Generation Y'ers(born 1982-1989) still got to enjoy the original MTV, all the 80s classics like Friday the 13th, The Neverending Story, Gremins, Goonies, Ghostbusters movie & tv show(which was MY show when I was 4 in 1989) along with all the new wave, most people I know born in the 80s know more of this music than people born in the 60s.. Generation X is 1964-1981 I believe

Childhood starts around 3-4 years old right, so if you made to those years while the 80s were still happening then you would have been an 80s child, but you were born '89 you were just a newborn on the last year so you're clearly a "90's child".. people born in the 70s were the 80s kids, the ones who lived the whole decade beginning to end.. I started school in 88-89 I was a late 80s kid but the youngest.. and im born May '85... Im truely a "90s kid"

@mcclammer I studied French history in Norway, where they weren't afraid of Napoleon and understood their Swedish neighbors' involvement in the American Revolution. There is evidence that both Robespierre and Napoleon hid because French Monarchy actually were working on something better for humanity in the long run. They'd been inspired by Americans after 12 years of close relations. Napoleon was only selfish tyrant. Marie couldn't see because that was Robespierre's point, he didn't want her to.
