only real reasons people say xbox live is better is because 1. they have an xbox 360 2. they hate sony ,and 3.larger community.

PSN is still my favorite though hands down.

Cool thing Microsoft is doing there going to (okay strong rumor)make Xbox 360 Arcade games avalable to the Zune And I'm thinking the New ZUNE HD Touch Screen(check it out here on you tube ! )so quite possibly if you owne it on your Xbox 360 Arcade you'll be able to move it over onto your Zune(HD) !,Netflix HD on Zune,movie in 1080p and music libary that'll match the likes of itunes ! Epic games creators of Gears of War 1&2 are now useing there Unreal engine to make new Xbox 360 arcade gameszune

I just bought this game today from PSN. All up, a nice game - there are some gorgeous visuals, but for some reason the default difficulty setting is "Very Easy"! Change it to "Very Hard" if you want a real challenge, because it's all too easy just to drift around almost every corner Ridge Racer style. Annoyingly all the vocal bites are recorded at a horrible bit-rate. They sound 8-bit in quality as though you were on the phone to them. Other than that, great game - great remix of the original.

The game is for PSN and Xbox 360. The PS3 Version runs at a higher resolution and no framerate drops, but it looks great on both machines.

i have both versions, but have seen no slowdown in neighter one ! also the resolution is not true, as my full hd tv tells me what resolution the signal that has been sended to it is. and they're both full hd. the only difference is the collor depth, and in some strange way, the xbox version seems to have a little bit more depth in it's collor range (both consoles are connected with a same brand HDMI cable).

It doesn't mean anything what your TV tells you. Both consoles could scale a lower resolution to 1080p. But you see the difference when you look at some details in the distance. The PS3 should be something about 1280x1080p while the Xbox 360 Version is something like 1280x720p. I saw this really small slowdowns in the demo, maybe they fixed them in the full version.

let me put it in this way then, so other visitors will understand me:

i play both versions on the same tv, and for both consoles i bought the same HDMI cable, so the signal from both versions is of the same high quallity. so here goes for the differences what i see (my eyes does not lie !) (see response 2, for ps3 version, and 3 for xbox)

ps3: in the first stage, the fences that runs close to the road is built up from a little further than halfway trough the screen. stage 2 on the right has on the right hand side a small watter pond, where you can see some screen flicker on the watter effect, not ment my the developper.

controll whise they have made the steering more easy, as the ps3 controller was not ment for race games and then shiftdrift with X and O.

xbox 360: the fence is built up from almost all the way to the horizon. on stage 2 if you go to the right, that water pond has no strange unment screen flicker. also on all stages it's visible that the xbox version has a tad more warm collor (don'n know the proper word for warm collors).

the controller has the gearshift buttons further away, so i can use my thumb streight instead of bent so i can properly reach the shift buttons.

oh, and i never mean to bash anny version of outrun, its just that the resolution thing can't be true, as both versions i see are on the same setup, but different consoles. i am to much of a outrun fan to bash anny version, even the megadrive 20** (don't know the proper number, but it was in the future) wont get a trashing by me :-D

Awesome game... Sega is the best at arcade games. Now if we can get an HD version of the OG Crazy taxi and an HD version of the OG Sega Rally id be even more stoked.

@Triple8880. Great news. A re-mastered for HD and in 16:9 of Crazy Taxi is coming to XBLA and PSN on November 23. We can only hope for Daytona USA.
