JUST IN CASE ANYBODY WONDERS WHAT IS MARINERA NORTEÑA:
/watch?v=2bfbNh7D4-M
just copy and pastetto the regular part of the youtube URL
marinera norteña is our national dance. This dance is from the north of the country and sometimes the Peruvian Paso plays the part of the guy and dances along with the song. The guy here kind of resemble the paso of the horse. Whoever loves these horses will love this video.
@smackthis, if you are even around. The thing about these horses is that it "looks" like you are sitting but they are so finely trained you have to be a RIDER not a passenger to ride a Peruvian Paso. The controlled energy (brio) when you are riding would be enough to scare the crap out of a lot of people who ride what we call "dumb-blood" hunter jumpers and "dead blood" Quarter Horses. We generally don't need spurs as the energy is there when you want it. Don't knock what you don't know.
FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!! truely well done! i've never seen a horse that cuts this well and not only that but without a rider as well! awesome horse and trainer!
Oh how I miss my Mi Amado Tesoro. The most beautiful and loving animal on the planet. I enjoyed him so much and his tail touched the ground. His daddy was don Rodrigo diaz de viva
Makes me proud to be the only one in my area to own this breed.....and I have 4. Prouder yet to be one of 2 stallion owners that is aloud to bring my horse to public functions. Tempermant is second to NONE. Great video
@victormanueification The breed is peruvian paso horse introduced by colonial period (most north of Peru) by arabs,...... peruvians have different training where the horses have reach different moves and steps,............... since now they have travel all the world,,,even Argentina ,,,,,
@Maratrushka The horses used as the foundation for the breed were brought to the New World by the Spaniards and were of pure Spanish blood. The arabs did not bring them to Peru and arab horses have had nothing to do with the development of the Peruvian Horse. To read a good article on the history of the Peruvian Horse do a google search on "History of the Peruvian Paso Horse" by Adele von Rust McCormick, Ph. D.
@1379gerardo I meant just what you said, that they are bred to have this gait - it is NATURAL from birth. The gait is not trained-in as with some other gaited breeds and no "artificial devices" of any kind are used to modify it. I'm happy to hear you got to ride one, I'll bet you enjoyed it right?
First 2 at head of line up are stunning....

@mySYNZnotmytradgidy it is not the trainer, these horses born with that step
mnunezper 9 months ago
@mySYNZnotmytradgidy Funniest thing, the horse is awesome, not the trainer because they aren't trained to do this.

Do not go to Rodeos because they abuse animals.
AnimalLiberation3D 2 years ago
Loved the slow motion so I could really see the gait clearly.

There is NOTHING more beautiful than a Peruvian Horse barrida! And the best part is the gait is all NATURAL.
friscoteque 2 years ago 14
thats the best part its a naturale gate not forced. Is it true the ride is supposed to be incredibly smooth?
no4go2 2 years ago
Yes, it's true. Once you ride a Peruvian Horse you'll never want to ride any other breed!

@1379gerardo They aren't trained to have that gait. Read about it. Young foals have that natural gait as well.
