  • How do you make the glow, i mean the fire emits its light, idk how, when i do mine, it looks like a burning fluid also, how you make the realistic smoke, i know how to do for fire, but i can't do it for smoke, also i'm using the new fumefx, so bouyancy is remove and im stuck, i downloaded many tutorials but i don't get some of it, the version they used is different.

  • @oyirquil A few hours, the simulation took up a majority of the time :)

  • how did you make it so the smoke doesn't pass through the walls? I have put a deflector up that deflects the flamess but the smoke just passes through walls

  • @v00d00rOckEt What you need is to set the boundaries of the fumefx box as collidable. Go to the simulation tab, and you should see a Blocking Sides inscription (right above the Fuel parameters). Make sure that X, Y and Z are set to "Both". That's all.

    Alternatively, you can increase the size of your box so that the walls are inside it, and then go to the Obj/Scrc tab and "pick" them so that they are included in the simulation. That way, they will automatically act as deflectors.

  • @Reozord ah, that makes sense. I asked because the only PCs I've heard about like that (not that i really pay attention) are alienwares and dells, but I'm sure sony and other companies make them.

    Btw, 4got to say this in the original comment, but amazing. that is by far the most realistic use of fumefx i've seen on youtube.

  • holy shit its really good....hey dude please can u help me??? wich render engine are you using? I'm traying out with Mentalray I think I can render it but Ihave no Idea of how can my fire emitte GI photons...please it would be great if u tell me how can I do it I'm checking out the fumefx settings and I can't see anything about GI photons...:S Itehre are MR FG Multiplier but nothing about GI please help:D
