see these types of test are all bullshit because unless you see the lights coming out of the package and know that they are exactly the same bulb type etc its worthless.

Why didn't you take some other readings to show whether the diffused mylar was brighter/darker in some spots vs the Orca being more even throughout? This is what I really want to know is overall is the Orca reflecting about as much light whereas the Mylar is reflecting more, but not evenly.

I didn't take other readings as I was just not thinking about it and was worried that the video is already to long for most peoples attention. ORCA reflects more light in all areas in the demo box.

can the bulbs work with most sockets? do they emit a great deal of heat?

They are 400w HPS lamps, they work with a 5kv mogul base socket - fairly common, and affordable. Yes 400w hps lamps emit a good amount of heat.
