I know AFI used to be more punk/hardcore in the 90s but theyve matured ,grown up and got a new sound which is more relevent to 2day and i like anything they do davey is a brilliant lyricist and vocalist and jade,hunter and adam are awesome too.

They still have their youthful energy in them so theres no signs of them slowing down just yet.

I find it hilarious when people say AFI's sound is diferent because they've grown up. The only thing that improved in AFI's sound was jade's guitar work (and still he could be so much better if he wanted to). Since when growing up means playing super generic pop rock? If they were doing experimental music and stuff you could use that excuse, but doing whats been done millions of times before, whith the same cliches? They are free to change to whatever they what but i just don't buy that excuse.

Nice to see some old footage of AFI. The Nitro years were their best in my opinion, but apparently there are a lot of kids into what they do now. Guess we'll never get another Black Sails in the Sunset from them, but probably just as well.

AFI has always been psuedo punk and so is green day and offspring.I loved the punk/hardcore scene and they were different;I guess I liked hardcore better than punk because band's like DK's,Dr.Know,Cro-Mags and Agnostic were a lot better to me than band's like Television,Ramones and Sex Pistol's.I mean AFI or Angry Samoan's?
