The Viper is a fantastic looking vehicle. It is much more practical than the Veyron. Of all the American cars I would definately choose a "Vipe" as my first choice if I were to be given such a gift. Nooooooooowwww. With that said, YES .. the Veryon is THAT great. In a class all to itself and an amazing engineering accomplishment, an amazing looking car, and nothing comes close to it's speed. Sure, it is completely impractical for daily driving with all the gas it eats etc.

I know this is an amazing car its amazing and i love it but if you think about it they didnt do the best on their engine. Yea it has 1000+ hp but it does have 2 engines which means they could only make thier engine with 500+ hp but its amazing how they could put them both together but if they were to put 1 engine they wud have a twin turbo 500+ hp but dont get me wrong i love this car!!

Guiness Record is not the only one. TUV and independent tests (many car magazine) comfirmed Veyron governed top speed. Real top speed is about 260 mph. Hennesset Venom 1000 is an aftermarket car that ran without catalytic converted on R&T shootout, used preheat tires and race fuel. As for McLaren F1, that was just Top Gear trick to give more entertainment.
