Gawd I wish I would have discovered trials when I was much younger than I am now.Seen photos back then, but no film. Didnt think much of it then, but anyone who can do this is extremely talented and I have noting but admiration for them and the sport. Anyone can get out on a motocross track (I was case in point!), but this is awesome! Why isn't this on TV?? I wonder how long a clutch lasts? Wonderful stuff!
I don't have very many tips to give you. I guess I'll give you one tip that you might already know, if you don't know how to pop the clutch your screwed if you wanna go over a log or something, just hold down the clutch while you rev up your bike, then release the clutch and you'll pop right up onto the log, but then that's when balance come into play, have so just kind of pop the front tire up like a mini wheelie to stay upright, then hit the throttle and you'll go over the log.
I love trials and I'm still hopping to make a carrer outta it, and balance is really important like you were saying but it also deals with mind games and fear. throtle and clutch control and technical abilities. also In my opinion beta is the best type of bike. TRIALS IS THE BEST!!
Trials is like classical music. If you can play classical guitar, you'll be able to play any kind pop or rock music. Classical music is a higher discipline. Like wise, trials deals with balance first. If you've got great balance, all other types of riding will be enhanced. This applies to both bicycle and motorcycle sports. Think about it. I like all sports on bikes and motorcycles. But trials rules!
