I think of the bottom three, because Ryan saw Cameron and Alex more and could therefore build up characters for them in his mind, Marissa was the more obvious choice. He kind of explained it during the discussion.

I might get hated on (hate on me, LOL) but Marissa's really gorgeous and seems so put together and I don't think it worked to her advantage. Appearance wise she seems more suited for Gossip Girl than Glee.
