  • Hey, it's cool that you're an emo freak of nature and you can't make eye contact, or stand tags on clothing. Lots of people have weird little quirks like that. In fact, everyone on Earth does. But when you claim it's a disorder and associate it with a REAL disorder like autism, and then have the nerve to prance around like your shit don't stink, then you can just go fuck yourself. And then go back to your hug-box, ass pie.

  • some whiny teenage emo outcasts figured out that they kind of were autistic, but only just a teeny bit. Then they started making this bullshit movement for other whiny ~unique~ teenagers to join them. So that they could all meet together on the Internet and have a giant fucking circlejerk about how ''UNIQUE'' and ''MISUNDERSTOOD'' they are. And got a few dipshit doctors to vouch for them..

  • Would you please tell me where I can find Part I of this video?

  • @NancyHey It's just called "Understanding Asperger's Syndrome" and YouTube won't let us put links in the comments, but if you go to my channel page you can see it on there.

  • @whitetigerdream Thank you!

  • thats funny i went to 3 schools for disruptive children from 1972 to 1979 but i was not violent i just was a bit loud i had odd interests like archeology and photgaphy at 9 i was quite good, about 4 years ago i had to have a medical for something..they say ocd quite likely aspie as we call it .done 6 of the aspie tests 6 time in all.i came out aspie 6 times i even tryed to fake it,did not work i just came out more aspie....oh well.....jeff....uk mad dogs and english men..jeff...

  • I would

  • What?

  • Ugh! My mom said something not too long ago, which set me back into B.F.E. :( I hate her right now.

  • Laura I'd like to know how they psychologist test for iq for people w/ aspergers.

  • Memory is a huge problem for me 2!!! I can't figure out how it length my short term memory but i can remember things from years ago!! and I HATE wen people move my shit!! I loose track of everything!

  • Thank you for these... I love the interjection of the stuffed animals for illustration :) I wish they had known when I was a teenager, I was in my early twenties when I stopped psychotherapy... I stopped my therapy that wasn't helping right on the cusp of the official 1995 category... talk about crappy timing. But I know now :)

  • As one who has Asperger's Syndrome, I applaud you for making these videos. I was diagnosed with AS in 2008. And, while I have learned a lot about Asperger's from various material, I seem to learn more from others who have it.

When I was a kid in the 80s, I had difficulties because of continuous changes in social environments, which happens when you're a military brat. I was seen as more of a problem. Now, I am trying to educate people who still think I was "normal", yet said I was different.

  • I am a 14 year old bibilophyle and i am a highly functional autistic person my IQ is 142 i dont like pills or any medication but i would like some for my headaches, can u suggest something for me to try.

  • apparently coffee was found in some research to be as effective as aspirin in combating headaches, and the two together apparently double effective... at the same time, caffeine withdrawal can give headaches for the first one to three days... i am with you with not wanting to takes meds for my AS (maybe HFA as i couldn't speak till 6 or 7) or its symptoms

  • Hahaha. You say you have an IQ of 142 and yet your grammar sucks. You capitalize the "I" when it is used by itself and learn some punctuation. And "u" is a letter, not a substitute for "you". Dumbass.

  • Wow! You speak my life, and though I am now in my mid 50's, you shed much light on many of the behaviors of all 4 of my children high IQ pizza delivery man, panic attacks, poor eye contact, communication breakdowns, meltdowns, ADD diagnoses and on and on. Only wish I had known more about this 15 years ago. Things could have been a lot calmer for all perhaps. But perhaps we can all start anew. Thank you, thank you

  • edward scissorhands is amazing. love him.

  • You sound really sad. Wonder if you fell sad?

  • Very insightful, thank you

  • Dont listen to that jerk Terminator... he's a loser. You are a very special person and a cool person. You deserve as much then anyone else in this world and surely deserve WAAAAAAAY more then that jerk will ever deserve

  • @girlstorm09 Fortunately, the Terminator closed their account!

  • Excellent video, great job on giving examples using common situations such as the light, i'm only ( 15) but i do understand to an extent just why people don't understand me very well, and the fact that there are people like you out there is a great confidence builder, keep up the great work :)

  • I was diagnosed about 3 months ago (I'm 21) with high functioning asperger and videos like this one really help shed some light on a lot of things I've been wondering about.

It's just nice to see there are people who understand what it's like :)

  • Hi

very informative video, I've just been diagnosed with Aspergers two months ago, and I'm trying to understand my own condition a bit better at the moment. Youtube is great as I can look up quite a lot of information. I have similar symptoms, like high sensitivity hearing (banging doors are a problem)

  • If you don't fit in to society, then fuck off. We don't want you and you should be locked in solitary confinement for life until you starve because you and all like you are a waste of food and air.

  • For your information, I'm actually in a job and earning money, so you can take back that comment about being a waste of food and air!

  • yeah, well you look like a dog

  • So immature, not going to reply to you anymore!

  • I have to work because my mother might lose her job as a 5th grade teacher because my NT brother is always late when she has duty. I made 2176/2400 on the SAT on my first try and I didn't even study. terminator917 probably never even passed middle school.

  • if you don`accept any different people than you it means that you are a

    fascist , racist , phobic , repressed

you? must go to a psychologist doctor for help

because you are not making better our world

    ko.bye bye.

  • Cool video :) Im aspie too of course i was DX at 14. at B4 that i didnt know that aspergers existed, although i knew what autism is. i noticed you like to fidigt with stuff like toys i often do that too :) yes lol i still got toys:) Also about sounds one sound that REALLY bothers me but not so much others is the loud screatching of the trains that go past my house. i notice alot more then others so i can see how aspies can relate to that stuff. :) and remember ASPIES RULE! <3 Ashley aka storms

  • no, ass pies should be executed because they are nothing but a threat to society as child rapists, dog fuckers and Jeffrey Dahmers. Where's Hitler when you need him?!

  • I'm an Aspergers lady from Australia and one of the really irksome things about this condition is the misunderstanding from so called neurotypical people. I've been branded as rude, stupid and childish many times when I've tried hard to be polite and respectful. They seem to be as clueless about me as I am about them.

  • @dynasue77 That's a shame! I'm sorry to hear that. It seems sometimes people don't make an effort to try to understand people who are different from them.

  • Comment removed

  • no, it means you'll grow up to be a rapist or serial murderer which is why it's too bad Hitler's not still around to take care of these freaks

  • I was diagnosed "High Functioning Adult Asperger" 3 years ago. I live in the Boston area. The New England Asperger's Association is very active, and has been a source of support and direction. One thing I learned early is that everyone involved has individual experiences living with Aspergers. I have made my way pretty well in the world. Presently I work as a chauffeur, a job that suits me.I take Remeron-30mg PM, Klonopin 2mg twice daily, and Effexor XR 75mg daily. Expensive but it works for me.

  • I liked your video. I actually recognize some of the symptoms of Asperger on myself, although I will never know if I have the disorder or not.

For myself I choose to focus on other things, but I must admit, though, that it's interesting.

  • There's the bombardment to all senses. It's not just sound and light - it's smell too. It's regulation....it's like the regulator built in is broken...too cold, too hot, too much, too little - balance is almost impossible.

  • OMG FDTEemporor here's another fool making himself known. To the point idiot, yes they do want to know otherwise people wouldn't be on here now and countless other place talking about it DUH! Let's hope that you don't have any kids that have any problems for their sakes!!!!

  • Ohmigosh, when she explained that Aspies tend to be highly sensitive to sound or light. I myself am so sensitive to sunlight that I have to shield my eyes at work when I'm actually INSIDE the building because the cars parked outside are reflecting the sun's rays, and people think I'm being dramatic over my reaction.

  • that doesnt mean you have autism..

  • Laura, thank you for speaking about Asperger Syndrome. I have AS and am 28. I have the hyperacute hearing and as a result have a severely restricted life. I also am socially impared in as much as that I take things the wrong way easy. Getting help has not been easy and I continue to struggle due to funding, locale and age. Please keep helping people on the spectrum! :-)

  • You make a lot of good points here.

  • my names is A.B hayes and i was diagnosed with a mild form of this disorder at 15, and have experienced many tumultuous, yet have experienced many tumultuous and enriching journey in the 12 years since. i am willing to befriend and help, or give insight to anyone afflicted or any parents whom have questions about a child whom has it. my number is, 229-787-0601

  • I like your monkey!

  • My son has AS. He is passionate about his tortoises.. He can't end a conversation without mentioning something about them. He may seem a bit extreme about almost all subjects, but a bright light will set him off!

  • "He may seem a bit extreme about almost all subjects, but a bright light will set him off!"

Same with me. I'm an AS adult and I've that problem.

  • Me too, I trace on embossed notebooks, especially when a teacher is boring and I can't concentrate. Or doodle. I do that a lot during math tests, I might do it througout the whole test and not get any of the problems done, after awhile I forget I'm even doing a test. Makes for semi-bad math grades. lol.

  • I count to 20, on my fingers, for a long time.

  • I do a lot of counting, letter tracing, making the same patterns with my fingers, etc. It's just one way to keep a sense of control when the world keeps changing more than Aspie's are comfortable with.

  • I do that, too except its with license plate numbers on cars and when they expire.

  • i loved how visual you made this :) it helped me alot with how i feel thanks

  • You won't get anywhere with a plaggy light sabre, what you need is a big samuri sword.

  • Luv the monkey in the background

  • As a person dealing with this thing called Asperger Syndrome, I have to say I found this to be very informative and interesting. Thank you for posting, I'm looking forward to more from you.

  • "..we do what we do bcos we need to do it..." it all makes sense when I see my son (8) who has AS doing certain things which I find odd...Thanx for the video!

  • I like how this video entertains as well as informs people about the unerstanding and awareness of AS.

  • i have to agree wit 'iamxb70's comment .. he was like da second one to comment on this. do u think a lot of people do it as to not be bothered wit da new? i think u mite set ur mind to believe dat one way is ok.. but what if u try to conform to change? like u said in ur video - u have more courage than you previously believed.

  • hello im new at this i have no idea what im doing or y i am writing this 2 u

  • Thank you so much for helping me to understand. Great video!

  • I think that this video is very important!

    Great Job!! :)

    5 stars!

  • Thank you so much for bringing awareness to our condition.

  • You're very welcome. It's something that I LOVE to do!

  • ???

  • try any angle

  • I know what mean, fellow Aspie.

  • Bright light bothers me too. I add another triangle. While the main triangle is: social, communication, habit rigidity & repetition, my second triangle discusses some of what you mention: sensory sensitivity, motor impairments, singled, narrow but quickly moving linear focus which is different from merely quickly moving focus or multitaskable focus found in those with ADD.

  • Very Good Points! There WILL be a Part III soon to address the monotropic nature of Aperger's, as well as dyspraxia, motor impairments, etc. These are not a part of the diagnostic criteria for AS, but they DO often accompany it. The sensory difficulties create a lot of the social difficulties and need for rigid patterns, IMHO.

  • I agree with you, a lot! I esp. like your metaphor. It's not always fear that holds us back. Sometimes, it is just that we prefer to enjoy and drift in our ocean within.

  • for me, autism=selfism. (not selfishness).

as nt experience is gleaned mainly from the world, autistic experience is gleaned mainly from self.

so my asociality is not from fear, but from not wishing to abandon my self awareness in order to adopt other's

awarenesses. metaphor:it is insecure to ride in anothers boat while i let mine drift without my captaincy.

  • Hi there. So, people with asperger syndrome think differently than people who generally get hit with ADD? Interesting. True. I don't really like change either. I think the saying goes "The less things change, the more they stay the same"? Once again, another very good video, mam. Take care and have a good day.
