I have a lab mix puppy that I adopted from a shelter.

The feeling is unlike any other..

I SAVED him.

I wish all shelter dogs would have homes. It breaks my heart.

I volunteer at a dog shelter (no kill shelter) and I would see many dogs brought in that were abused. There were beagles who were abused and the animal shelter saved many of them. They were used for drug testing and it was sad:( they never felt grass before nor affection but we gave them the affection and fortunetly they got good homes. basically STOP ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plez

This Song with these videos always get a tear out of me. I feel so bad for these animals. The ones that can't defend themselves suffer then live in a kennel till someone adopts them or until.. they get put to sleep. If people would stop breeding so much and let shelters get animals adopted out then we wouldn't have this over population of animals. then when we are low on adoptions then maybe breed more. .. I wish I could help them all. But sadly I can't.. Thanks for posting this video.

when ever i see this i cry i am crying right now when i get older i litterly will buy more then like 10 animals that are going to die and all the animals in the shelter and everybody out there you know animals are waiting for you nd my dog is crying right now and so am i and if you go on thesoccerlovers123 you will see a vid aout animals and a pic of me with my dog that died and i am laying on the ground with him :(

Fact: up to 25% of all shelter dogs are purebred, and up to 40% are under 1 year old. If a certain breed is desired check for a local rescue group (example: Missouri Great Dane rescue) Rescue groups often invest in behavior and training programs so your pet can be the best companion possible. Adoption is much less then purchasing. Most adoption pets are fixed before being allowed to adopt out to better control the pet population, one ting less you have to do. There is no excuse not to adopt.

2 of my dogs were recues not from the shelter but yep there was my little chihuahua mix he was covered in fleas we washed him until the water would actually turn clear all the other times the water would be red yep but we have him now and he has a way better life than before and we have this other mixed dog idk what he is but we got him but we didnt come back in time to save his brothers and sisters we came back a couple days later and one's head was in a watering can and the others were dead
