@MrBrandonRTR straight cut yes ... buy you can see very clearly on the driver view that it is NOT a sequential shift transmission.

Certainly wonderful sounds though. I'm wondering how much of the sound we are hearing is from the diff ... I tried to listen very carefully for gear whine during shifts to try and detect gear whine mid shift (neutral) but the shifts are so fast ... and gear whine is much more pronounced under power that I'm not sure if that conclusion can be made from this vid.

This driver knows the track really well, exactly when to brake, full gas, steady gas, off the gas, what gear to be in, good line, good minor steer corrections, good stamina, good car placement during traffic. Props to the mechanic as well for the great suspension and tires setup. Is that a clutchless tranny? What was his lap time?...although he lost time due to slower race cars along the way. He Prob hit around 190mph on the Long stretch.

It says "Driver: Hans-Joachim Stuck" on the video. He is one of THE most iconic and best Touring-Car drivers Europe (if not the world) has seen in the past 50 years. Apart from racing in F1 for years in the 70s, he won countless Touring-Car evnts and Championships. Including the DTM, Le Mans twice and the 24hr Race on the Nürburgring (first in 1970, for the last time in 2004 in that very same car as in the Video).

@TheCloudhopper: It's not the 24H race weekend but probably one of the VLN endurance races, to which the 24H race belongs also. I know because in the 24 hour race they usually use the full version of the GP track where as in this video the shortcut is being used in VLN. See 0:45
