Ok, I don't get it. "City Safety is not designed to react to objects smaller than cars, such as people, bicycles or animals." I suppose those 05 pylons were an exception? I've never seen neither a square balloon-shaped, or pylon shaped vehicle. Neither of those are similiar in size or shape to another vehicle.

This would be perfect for school runs, which are in these slow speed and the drivers would be distracted by kids, but this would reduce acidents alot I think. This is the kind of car people use for the school run.

Some crap on the car that can go wrong. It will be a recall in the future on these cars I bet . Malfuctuion can happen, the brakes will engage while the car going 60 causing more accidents than preventing them .

Yeah, it was the first to have the auto-stop saftey procaution, standard. In other words, other car manufactuerers have already come up with this, but it was optional to have it.

yes it will still brake, it is drive by wire, don't forget. it's all programmed and tested long ago before is put into production,

I'm not facinated by this car, I probably never buy it...I just like the technology, And I like Volvo because they stick to their concept.

@ChrisBennett18 no, it will not, it's like hitting the brake on cruse control, it disengages. however it happens very quickly. if you have any questions you can easily find answers to them, think about it, they want you to easily understand the technology so you won't be afraid of it. so you buy it, so look for an unbiased place, but you can still find good information from the manufacturer themselves.

Well, the City Safety system is just an addition on the ACC systems they've had as options on Volvos for quite a number of years.
